## Description

Mobile Designer/Front End Developer

Part time (20 hours/week to start)

Pay commensurate with experience

We’re a fast-growing company building **mobile applications** in **React** using **AI-powered tools** like **Lovable** and **Bulk.new**. We’re looking for a creative and technically capable **Mobile UI/UX Designer** based in **Ethiopia** who can help us take our mobile apps to the next level—making them modern, intuitive, and beautifully aligned with our brand.

This role requires someone who not only designs great mobile experiences but also understands the **basics of front-end development** to effectively collaborate with our dev team and work within our projects.

This job is part time to start, with options to convert to full time if things go well.

### **What You’ll Do**

-   Review and improve existing **mobile app projects** built using React and AI-assisted tools
-   Redesign app interfaces to make them **modern, user-friendly, and unique to our brand**
-   Create clean, responsive, and functional mobile layouts for iOS and Android
-   Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of your designs
-   Work directly within project files (React or AI-generated) to adjust UI elements and styles
-   Establish and maintain **brand consistency** across mobile apps and digital platforms
-   (Bonus) Contribute to **branding projects** such as logo design, website design, and marketing materials

### **What We’re Looking For**

-   Proven experience as a **Mobile UI/UX Designer**, with a strong portfolio of mobile app work
-   Strong understanding of **mobile design principles**, **user flows**, and **responsive behavior**
-   Familiarity with **React Native** or **React-based frameworks**
-   Hands-on experience with **Figma**, **Adobe XD**, or similar design tools
-   **Basic front-end development skills** – able to read and modify HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
-   Understanding of how design decisions affect development and implementation
-   Eye for detail, creative problem-solving skills, and a passion for clean, intuitive design
-   Strong communication and time management skills

### **Nice to Have**

-   Experience with **branding**, **logo design**, or **web design**
-   Familiarity with **AI-driven design tools** (Lovable, Bulk.new, Framer AI, etc.)
-   Understanding of **accessibility** and **UX best practices**
-   Experience building or maintaining a **design system**

## Requirements

-   2+ years of experience in **UI/UX design**, specifically for **mobile applications**
-   Strong understanding of **mobile design principles**, **user journeys**, and **interaction design**
-   Proficiency in **Figma**, **Adobe XD**, or similar design software
-   Basic **front-end development skills** — ability to read and make minor edits in **HTML, CSS, and JavaScript**
-   Familiarity with **React Native** or React-based mobile environments
-   Ability to work with **AI-assisted tools** such as **Lovable**, **Bulk.new**, or similar platforms
-   A strong **eye for aesthetics**, attention to detail, and consistency in layout, spacing, and typography
-   Excellent understanding of **responsive design** and adapting layouts for multiple device sizes
-   Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with developers and project managers
-   Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely with accountability
