## Description

Pension Insurance Corporation (“PIC”) provides secure retirement incomes through comprehensive risk management and excellence in asset and liability management, as well as exceptional customer service. Our purpose is to pay the pensions of our current and future policyholders. We achieve our purpose by setting Companywide strategic objectives and driving a healthy culture based on our PIC Values of Resilient, Adaptable, and Loyal.

**Role Purpose**

- This is a senior Executive Assistant role, operating as a strategic partner to the Chief Risk Officer and the Head of CRO office, with delegated authority to act on their behalf where appropriate.
- This role is primarily focused on providing core executive support to the Chief Risk Officer, which includes providing the secretariat for the Management Risk Committee, the Methods and Assumption Committee and the Risk Adjustment Forum.
- The role requires sound judgement, discretion and the confidence to act as a representative of the CRO across PIC. The role holder is expected to make day to day prioritisation and judgement calls on behalf of the CRO, managing access, deadlines and competing demands independently, and escalating only where strategic, reputational or regulatory risk is present.
- This role offers exposure to Board level governance, senior regulatory engagement, and strategic decision making, providing strong development opportunities for experienced Executive Assistants who thrive in complex, regulated environments and who enjoy exercising judgment and influence.
- The Executive Assistant is a key member of the CRO office and line-manages the Department Coordinator, who is responsible for providing compliance and administrative support across the function.
- Our Company values are expected to be reflected in the delivery and performance of every role.

**Conduct Rules:**

- You must act with integrity
- You must act with due skill, care and diligence
- You must be open and cooperative with the FCA, the PRA and other regulators.
- You must pay due regard to the interests of customers and treat them fairly.
- You must observe proper standards of market conduct
- You must act to deliver good outcomes for retail customers

PIC operates within the financial services industry and, therefore, is regulated by the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) and the PRA (Prudential Regulation Authority). It is a requirement for all PIC employees to demonstrate a good understanding of the regulatory framework and how it applies to the Company.

**Specific accountabilities assigned to the role of Executive Assistant within the Risk & Compliance function:**

- **Executive Partnership & Judgment:** Working closely with the CRO to accomplish their day-to-day tasks including through diary management, screening emails, coordinating schedules, meetings and appointments. Arranging dinners, social events and public appearances. Maintaining strict confidentiality.
- **Governance and Committee Management:** Responsible for the smooth organisation of Risk Committee governance: scheduling committee meetings, preparing agendas and meeting packs, and recording minutes and actions, to ensure effective governance forums that support Executive decision-making.
- **Stakeholder and Relationship Management:** Act as a key point contact for the Risk function, developing effective working relationships across PIC and particularly with other EAs.
- **Operational and Administrative Excellence:** Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve team efficiency.
- **People Management:** Line management of the Department Coordinator, who is accountable for the organisation of Risk team meetings and social events, and POs and travel arrangements.
