## Description

A Federal Gov't client is seeking to hire a Communication, Change, and Graphic Design Senior  Project Officer  to support the successful delivery of large-scale ICT and digital transformation initiatives across the Department. The role focuses on enabling effective change through clear communication, structured engagement and practical change support that helps stakeholders understand, adopt and embed new systems, processes and ways of working.

Working closely with change managers, solution architects, delivery teams and ICT subject matter experts, the role contributes to behavioural change, capability uplift and driving adoption of different initiatives. You will be responsible for contributing to outcomes by translating complex technical and architectural changes into clear, consistent and user focused communication.

The role operates with a high level of autonomy under general direction and contributes hands-on delivery in a fast-paced, multi-stream program environment.

**Security clearance: Must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain a Security Clearance**

Responsibilities include:

-   Support the delivery of change management activities for ICT and digital initiatives, including communications, engagement activities and adoption support.
-   Develop and deliver communication products that build awareness, understanding and readiness for change, such as updates, FAQs, guides, feature spotlights and success stories, including hands‑on graphic and information design in PowerPoint, to ensure products are polished and professional.
-   Contribute to change and communication plans, stakeholder engagement strategies and content calendars.
-   Translate complex ICT, architecture and process changes into clear, plain‑English messages tailored to different audiences.
-   Draft, edit and quality‑assure written content for intranet pages, fact sheets, guides, presentations and training materials.
-   Ensure communication products comply with the Australian Government Style Manual and accessibility requirements (WCAG 2.1 AA).
-   Develop visual and information artefacts (e.g. diagrams, process flows, system overviews, infographics) to support understanding of change impacts.
-   Work collaboratively with change managers, architects, ICT specialists and delivery teams to understand requirements and deliver fit‑for‑purpose outputs.
-   Participate in workshops, briefings and design sessions to gather input and feedback.
-   Support coordination of communication and change activities across multiple workstreams.
-   Manage version control and maintain structured repositories for change and communication artefacts.
-   Monitor progress against deliverables, identify risks and issues, and escalate as required.
-   Exercise sound judgement, integrity and discretion when working with sensitive or pre‑decision information

### Essential criteria

-   Experience supporting change, transformation or project delivery activities.
-   Ability to work effectively in project or agile delivery environments and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
-   Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work constructively with technical specialists and delivery teams
