**What is Associate Data Engineer?**

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong engineering mindset and problem-solving aptitude. The ideal candidate should be entrepreneurial, innovative, collaborative, customer-focused, and demonstrate integrity through previous academic or professional experiences. This role is suitable for candidates with foundational experience or strong interest in the Data Engineering domain who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and foundational knowledge of databases, data pipelines, and data warehousing is preferred.

What does Associate Data Engineer do?**

·         Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from data warehouses (Teradata, Oracle), modern cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift), data lakes, and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)

-   Assist in building and maintaining basic data pipelines using ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS) and cloud-based services (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory)
-   Support data ingestion and transformation tasks using open-source frameworks (Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, Apache NiFi)
-   Perform basic scripting (Python, Shell scripting) to automate data workflows and deliver data engineering artifacts
-   Maintain documentation for data pipelines, workflows, and development processes
-   Work with different tools across various domains such as ETL, databases, data warehousing, cloud platforms, and issue tracking

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Associate Data Engineer?

-   0-3 years of experience in Data Engineering or related domain
-   Knowledge of databases, data warehousing, and big data concepts
-   Understanding of data warehousing platforms (Teradata, Oracle) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
-   Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data platforms like Snowflake and Databricks
-   Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline development
-   Basic experience with shell scripting and Python
-   Strong SQL query writing and optimization skills Familiarity with any programming language (Python preferred)
-   Exposure to open-source data tools (Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive)

**Education**

-   Bachelors in Computer Science / Software Engineering
