**About the opportunity**

This **Darwin-based role** will provide financial leadership across the DCOH Group, overseeing financial reporting, governance, financial operations, compliance, and risk management. Reporting directly to the CFO and leading a finance team, you will support the CFO and business leaders to drive financial performance, strengthen controls, and support informed strategic decision-making.

**WHO YOU ARE**   

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

-   CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent postgraduate qualification) with a tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
-   Minimum 10 years’ experience across accounting and finance functions, including senior leadership responsibilities
-   Strong technical accounting knowledge, including AASB, IFRS, taxation, and statutory reporting requirements
-   Proven experience managing audits, governance frameworks, and financial control environments
-   Demonstrated experience overseeing banking, cashflow management, and financial risk activities
-   Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement
-   Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams
-   Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the business
-   Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities
-   Experience within construction, property development, hospitality, or project-based environments highly regarded

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**

-   Managing the group month-end and year-end close processes, delivering timely consolidated reporting packs, and statutory financial statements.
-   Oversee statutory compliance, taxation obligations, audit processes, and regulatory reporting requirements
-   Manage accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury, revenue recognition, and cost accounting functions
-   Maintain and strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, accounting policies, and procedures across the Group
-   Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial records and reporting
-   Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business performance
-   Leading, mentoring, and developing the central finance team, building a high-performance culture focused on execution and accountability.
-   Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, reporting processes, controls, and operational efficiencies
-   Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across the Group
-   Work closely with business unit finance leads to ensure consistency in financial practices, reporting standards, and governance
-   Build and maintain strong relationships with auditors, banking institutions, advisers, and internal stakeholders
-   Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, professionalism, and high performance while representing DCOH in accordance with the Code of Conduct
