## Description

**About the Role**

The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for various specialized duties pertaining to accounting.

**Position Responsibilities**

-   Monitors and audits inventory levels for retail, operating, supply and food and beverage items. Coordinates and performs month-end inventory counts.
-   Monitors Fixed Assets and corresponding depreciation levels.
-   Maintains financial reports, records and general ledgers.
-   Assists in month-end closing and analyzes GL accounts
-   Responsible for posting payments to accounts to create journal entries.
-   Responsible for maintaining fixed assets ledger and journal entry preparations.
-   Responsible for maintaining reports for month-end physical inventory.
-   Verifying daily credit card transactions and preparing deposits on miscellaneous income.
-   Assists in monthly preparation of financial statements, including bank reconciliation and journal entry.

**Essential Functions**

-   Responsible for maintaining fixed assets ledger and journal entry preparations.
-   Responsible for maintaining reports for month-end physical inventory.
-   Verifying daily credit card transactions and preparing deposits on miscellaneous income.
-   Assists in monthly preparation of financial statements, including bank reconciliation and journal entry.
-   Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 10 pounds

## Requirements

-   Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or related field required.

-   Two or more years related experience and training.
-   Excellent understanding of the accounting process and technical systems involved.
-   Previous casino experiences a plus.
-   Must have excellent communications skills and the ability to present statistical data in terms that are relevant and actionable.

-   Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, Write, Speak & Understand)

-   Our cash compensation amount for this role is $53,500 to $69,600 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.
