## Description

**Location:** Hybrid – 3 days per week at MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol, with some working from home and travel to other UK locations.

**Rate:** Up to £550/day

**IR35 status:** Inside IR35

**Contract dates:** ASAP to 31/03/2027

**Closing date:** 2nd September 2026 at 14:00

**Overview**

Our customer, a large defence organisation, is seeking an experienced **Level 3 Engineer** to support **Land Ground Based Air Defence (GBAD)** systems and vehicle integration.

The role covers integration strategy and planning, component systems, requirements, trials, test and acceptance activities, and the production and review of GEAR engineering artefacts. 

**Key Responsibilities**

**Land GBAD System and Vehicle Integration**

-   Enable the Integration Strategy and Planning.
-   Develop and support ICDs.
-   Support ITT documentation and SOR.
-   Undertake Test and Acceptance planning.
-   Support trials.

**Land GBAD Component Systems**

-   Support Requirements and Demonstration activities.
-   Undertake planning and develop SORs.
-   Support trials.

**Engineering Process**

-   Produce and review GEAR artefacts.
-   Prepare for and manage GEAR reviews. 

**Essential Experience/Skills**

-   Technical requirements.
-   Integration and interoperability.
-   GEAR processes. 

**Desired Experience/Skills**

-   Defence projects, preferably Cat A.
-   Working with DE&S and Army. 

**Additional Information**

-   Hybrid working, with an expectation of 3 days per week at MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol.
-   Some working from home is permitted with agreement.
-   Travel to London, supplier locations and UK Test Ranges is required, with potential for overseas travel if UK ranges are deemed inappropriate.
-   Minimum Security Check (SC) clearance.
-   UK Nationals only, due to a requirement to manage Secret UKEO data.
-   UK Driving Licence required.
