**Your Role**

We’re searching for a designer who:

-   Turns frontier AI into intuitive lawyer workflows, reducing cognitive load & driving elegance and consistency across our platform.
-   Treats craft and speed as inseparable. Rapidly prototype, user-test, polish, and ship.
-   Owns the end-to-end design stack: research → IA → wireframes → hi-fi → design QA.
-   Helps us rethink onboarding, training, and our “prosumer” sales funnel.
-   Wants to go “all-in” on a high-growth startup and thrives in ambiguous, 0 → 1 environments

**Seniority Level**

Senior, Staff, Lead, or Principal level designer. Great relevant experience is more important than high seniority.

You will report to the CEO.

## Requirements

**What We’re Looking For**

Core Requirements

-   3+ years designing SaaS or workflow products (portfolio required).
-   Ability and experience using AI for design (especially prototypes).
-   Proven record of shipping data-dense or professional-grade tools and improving a key metric (conversion, NPS, retention).
-   Experience designing generative AI workflows and strong knowledge of the AI tools/techniques and how they fit with workflows.
-   Expertise in Figma (auto-layout, variants, prototyping).
-   Basic grasp of front-end constraints (React components, CSS, accessibility).

Soft Skills

-   Clear, concise communicator, low words : insights ratio.
-   Ownership mindset: you do what you say and surface risks early.
-   Ability to work well with ambiguity and low amounts of process & collaborate with others, and we ship fast and iteratively.
-   Excellent problem solving capabilities.

Passion & Dedication

-   Genuine excitement for AI and building category‑defining products.
-   Fantastic work ethic & ability to take on a very demanding role (similar culture to xAI, Amazon, Figure, etc.).

Nice‑to‑Haves

-   LegalTech experience / understanding of legal workflows.
-   Comfort running user research and turning findings into IA and interaction patterns.
-   An interest in running tests but a great eye for likely outcomes.
-   Deep understanding of generative AI from an engineering perspective.
-   Motion design chops (Lottie / After Effects) or ability to contribute to front-end code.
-   Design degree.

**Interview Process (fast!)**

1.  Share sample of prior work
2.  30 min screen with designer
3.  Potentially a 30-minute session with a developer and/or Product Manager
4.  45 minute session with CEO (problem-solving + values)

We move very quickly for the right candidate.

**Location**

-   San Francisco, CA (ideal), Dallas, TX, Salt Lake City, UT. Will consider highly qualified remote candidates
-   No relocation budget, but you are welcome to apply if you are willing to move to San Francisco even if you don't already live here.
-   In-office at least 3 days per week.
