## Description

We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to assist with the preconstruction, bidding, and subcontractor coordination process for multiple ground-up development projects, including multifamily and mixed-use developments in Yonkers and Orange.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within the construction and real estate development industry. The ideal candidate does not need to be a senior estimator or construction expert, but should possess strong organizational and communication skills, basic Excel knowledge, and a willingness to learn. Proper oversight, training, and guidance will be provided throughout the process.

Responsibilities

Assist in assembling and organizing project budgets
Send out RFPs (Requests for Proposal) to subcontractors and vendors
Coordinate bidding efforts across approximately 40+ construction trades
Follow up with subcontractors to ensure bids are received on time
Coordinate bidder questions and communicate with architects, engineers, interior designers, and consultants as needed
Help organize and track RFIs (Requests for Information)
Maintain bid logs, proposal tracking, and procurement spreadsheets
Assist in creating Excel-based bid leveling sheets to compare subcontractor proposals
Help identify scope differences, exclusions, and pricing gaps between bids
Organize project documents, plans, and subcontractor correspondence
Qualifications

Basic understanding of construction drawings and plans
Strong communication and follow-up skills
Basic to intermediate Excel skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
Construction, estimating, architecture, engineering, or real estate exposure is a plus, but not required
What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

Hungry to learn and grow within the construction/development field
Organized and reliable
Comfortable communicating with subcontractors and consultants
Able to work through large amounts of information and keep things organized
Proactive and responsive
Training & Oversight

This role will work directly with ownership/development management and will receive ongoing guidance and oversight throughout the budgeting, bidding, and buyout process. The position is intended to grow over time into a larger preconstruction and project coordination role.
