## Description

### **Join the dedicated team at Fetch as a Veterinary Technician in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU).**

Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is family-owned veterinary hospital and we are seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our ICU team in Brandon, Florida. We are passionate about delivering high-quality and compassionate care to pets during their most critical moments. As a Veterinary Technician in this fast-paced environment, you will work closely with a talented team of boarded specialists, ER doctors and ICU team to provide exceptional care to pets in need.

### Key Responsibilities:

-   Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition in an emergency and critical care setting
-   Assist veterinarians with emergency procedures, including triage, wound care, and life-saving interventions
-   Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed by the veterinary team
-   Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies required for emergency procedures
-   Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood work and urinalysis
-   Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care
-   Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' conditions, treatments, and progress
-   Support the team by keeping the workspace organized and well-stocked
-   Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff in a high-energy environment

## Requirements

-   High school diploma or equivalent
-   Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT), preferred
-   Previous experience in ICU is required.
-   Strong knowledge of veterinary medical protocols and procedures
