## Description

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Talent & Organization Development Specialist to build and execute programs that strengthen employee development, career growth, talent and succession planning, build manager capability, and support organizational effectiveness across JoVE.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on — someone who can identify organizational and development needs, design practical solutions, and independently drive programs from concept through implementation and measurement.

Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain career architecture frameworks across functions and roles.
- Define job levels, skills, competencies, experience, and performance expectations required for progression.
- Partner with functional leaders to design and execute development programs aligned with career architecture to help employees build the skills, capabilities, and experience required for progression.
- Build manager training and resources in areas such as performance management, coaching and feedback, effective 1:1s, goal and KPI management.

- Develop initiatives such as targeted training, stretch assignments, mentoring, job exposure, and structured development plans.

- Support talent review processes, including HiPo identification, talent assessments, and succession planning.
- Partner with HR and leadership to identify organizational talent gaps and build development initiatives to address them.

- Support the design and execution of employee recognition programs that celebrate strong performance, meaningful contributions, innovation, and behaviors aligned with company values.

- Define clear success measures for talent and development initiatives and use data to evaluate impact, continuously improve programs, and demonstrate effectiveness.

## Requirements

- 5-7 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field.
- Proven track record of designing and executing Talent or Organization Development initiatives that delivered measurable business or employee outcomes.
- Demonstrated success implementing talent programs such as career architecture, talent reviews, succession planning, HiPo development, leadership development, or manager development.
- Proven ability to take programs from concept to execution, managing multiple initiatives while delivering against defined timelines and outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to gain buy-in and drive action across managers and senior leaders.
- Track record of using data and measurable outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness, identify gaps, and improve results.
- Demonstrated ownership and bias for action, with the ability to independently identify needs, develop solutions, and drive initiatives through completion.

## Benefits

- You can expect compensation competitively placed within the local market, including unlimited bonus for manuscript acquisition.
- You will make a direct impact in accelerating science research and discovery.
- Opportunity to work in a remote environment that promotes innovation and collaboration.
- Our strong promotion from within culture draws a clear path to advance your career with us.
