## Description

**About The Role**  
An exciting opportunity to join The Telegraph's audio and video department, as a producer of our flagship daily news podcast, The Daily T.  
Alongside the senior and executive producer, you will help lead on the delivery of our award winning daily podcasts, working in close collaboration with the presenters and video editor and social producer to bring each episode to life across multiple visual, audio and social platforms.  
The ideal candidate will have a background in broadcast, visualised podcasts or digital shows. They will be able to demonstrate experience of proactive planning, making reactive editorial decisions and working to tight deadlines within an always-on news environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   To act as Producer of The Telegraph's Daily T podcast, working alongside our Executive Producer, senior producer, presenters, video editor and social producer to deliver each show.
-   This will include the daily planning, producing, editing and publishing of each episode.
-   Liaising with the senior producer, presenters and producers on the outline and structure of each show.
-   Producing and refining daily show briefs in tandem with the wider team of producers.
-   Liaising with senior members of the Audio & Video team on the publishing plan for each episode.
-   Managing and distributing the publication of all daily podcast assets, including on-platform promotional assets using The Telegraph’s CMS.
-   To help develop and grow The Daily T’s slate of podcasts including Royal T and Weekend T podcast strands.
-   To work with the video editor and social media producer to optimise content for YouTube and social media and grow our audience.

**Key Skills**

-   A solid foundation of leading the production of visualised shows, be that for broadcast, podcasts or other digital news platforms.
-   Strong experience in gallery producing of live or as-live studio recordings.
-   Experience in audio editing.
-   Experience in video editing for longform video and social media clips is highly desirable.
-   Experience in the production of outside broadcasts, live events and shoots.
-   Experience creating quick turnaround content, demonstrating a skill in working to tight deadlines in an always-on news environment.
-   Experience in booking newsworthy and headline-making guests for interviews.
-   Experience in using digital CMS (content management systems) and social media publishing platforms
-   Experience working with a wider newsroom and high-profile journalists and presenters.
-   Experience in using the back end of YouTube analytics and using data to inform the production and publication of content.
-   Understanding of The Telegraph voice.
-   A strong sense of editorial judgement and full knowledge of media law.
-   A deep passion for news and strong awareness of the daily news agenda.
-   An interest in developing new digital formats and building podcast communities.
