## Description

**About the Company**

Ajaia is a rapidly growing AI consultancy and product studio dedicated to helping organizations move from experimentation to real results. We operate across four core pillars: AI Strategy and Advisory, AI Engineering and Automation, Workforce Training and Enablement, and Custom Product Development.

In addition to client services, Ajaia builds proprietary AI products, copilots, and vertical solutions that solve high-value industry problems. This dual model allows us to translate hands-on implementation experience into scalable products while continuously refining our approach through real-world deployment.

Our operating model combines deep technical execution with practical change management, enabling enterprises to deploy secure, compliant, and high-impact solutions that drive measurable operational value. From executive roadmapping to production-ready systems and workforce upskilling, Ajaia embeds intelligent tools directly into the workflows that matter most.

Mission: Help organizations win the AI moment.

**Position Overview**

Ajaia is hiring a Cloud Security & DevOps Engineer to manage and secure the company's multi-cloud infrastructure across GCP and Azure. This is a technical, hands-on role. You will configure infrastructure, enforce security controls, manage deployment pipelines, and build automation that reduces manual overhead across IT and security operations.

The company operates AI products across regulated industries, so you will support compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2) at the infrastructure level. You are expected to think about security as part of every system you build or maintain, not as an afterthought. Internal IT operations (access management, endpoint security, onboarding automation) are also part of your scope.

The company is AI-first. You should already be using AI tools to write scripts, analyze logs, generate documentation, and accelerate your engineering work.

We expect candidates to use AI in daily workflows across research, ideation, drafting, design iteration, quality checks, and delivery acceleration. AI fluency is a core execution requirement, not optional tooling.

## Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
- 2–5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Cloud engineering and infrastructure management (GCP, Azure, or multi-cloud)
- DevOps, site reliability engineering, or platform engineering
- Infrastructure security and cloud security implementation
- CI/CD pipeline management and deployment automation

- Hands-on experience managing cloud environments across GCP and Azure (multi-cloud experience required)
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)
- Experience building and securing CI/CD pipelines
- Working knowledge of cloud security fundamentals: IAM policies, network segmentation, firewall rules, encryption at rest and in transit
- Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Experience configuring and managing security monitoring and alerting systems
- Ability to support internal IT operations: access management (SSO, MFA, RBAC), endpoint security, and onboarding automation
- Familiarity with compliance requirements at the infrastructure level (HIPAA, SOC 2 preferred)
- Strong documentation skills and ability to maintain clear infrastructure and security records
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, fully remote, distributed environment
- Proficiency with AI tools in daily technical work

**Preferred Requirements:**

- Relevant certifications: GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Security Specialty, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent
- Experience with container orchestration and container security (Kubernetes, Cloud Run, Docker, or similar)
- Experience with service mesh, network policies, or micro-segmentation
- Background supporting regulated workloads in healthcare or financial services
- Experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanning tools, or penetration testing coordination
- Experience with system performance monitoring, availability engineering, and cost optimization
- Familiarity with compliance evidence collection and audit support at the infrastructure level
- Background with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar)

## Benefits

- Base salary: Approximately $28,000–$35,000 USD per year (calibrated for target regions).
- Performance bonus: Opportunity to earn up to 100% of base salary in performance-based bonuses.
- Salary and total compensation depend on experience, location, and demonstrated performance during the hiring process.
