## Description

**Lead Safety Excellence Across Landmark Community Construction Projects**

As our business continues to grow, we're seeking an experienced and proactive **Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager** to lead our HSE function across the Constructions Business Unit.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a strategic and hands-on HSE professional who is passionate about creating safer workplaces, influencing positive culture and partnering with operational leaders to drive continuous improvement.

Based on the Gold Coast and reporting to the CEO of Constructions, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping safety performance across our diverse project portfolio.

**About the Role**

As the HSE Manager, you will provide leadership, strategic direction and operational support across all aspects of health, safety and environmental management.

You will be responsible for:

-   Leading the HSE function and a team of seven HSE Advisors across the Constructions Business Unit
-   Driving a proactive safety culture aligned with our Zero Harm commitment
-   Maintaining and continually improving HSE management systems, policies and procedures
-   Managing accreditation and certification requirements including ISO, FSC, PQC, CM3 and client-specific regulatory requirements.
-   Providing HSE support for tenders, submissions and prequalification processes
-   Overseeing audits, inspections, risk management and project assurance activities
-   Supporting project teams with practical HSE advice and compliance requirements
-   Managing incident investigations, regulatory reporting and corrective actions
-   Acting as Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator, managing claims and liaise with WorkCover.
-   Monitoring and reporting HSE performance, trends and improvement initiatives
-   Leading environmental management and sustainability outcomes across projects
-   Supporting training, competency and workforce capability development

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

-   Qualification in Work Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline
-   Extensive HSE leadership experience within construction, civil infrastructure or a similar high-risk environment
-   Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, environmental requirements and relevant Codes of Practice
-   Experience managing HSE management systems, audits, accreditations and compliance programs
-   Demonstrated capability in incident investigation and risk management
-   Current driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly to project sites
-   Environmental management or ISO systems experience
-   Be a visible and influential leader who builds trusted relationships and positively impacts safety culture across all levels.
-   Practical and commercially minded problem-solver with the ability to balance compliance, risk and project outcomes.
-   Resilient and collaborative professional who remains calm under pressure and is passionate about creating safe, productive workplaces.
