## Description

**United Concrete Products** is seeking a detail-oriented Parts Buyer to join our team, responsible for sourcing and purchasing equipment parts, maintenance supplies, and components that keep our production and fleet operations running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of purchasing experience looking to grow within the precast concrete/manufacturing industry.

**What You'll Do**

-   Source and purchase replacement parts for production equipment, machinery, and commercial vehicles/fleet
-   Obtain and compare quotes from vendors to ensure competitive pricing
-   Create and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner
-   Track order status and follow up with vendors on delivery timelines
-   Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, pricing, and vendor information
-   Coordinate with maintenance and fleet teams to identify parts needs and prevent equipment downtime
-   Assist in identifying and qualifying new suppliers
-   Monitor stock levels for critical/frequently used parts and reorder as needed
-   Resolve discrepancies related to orders, shipments, invoices, or damaged parts

## Requirements

**What You Bring**

-   2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or parts buying
-   Thorough understanding of mechanical/equipment parts and maintenance supplies
-   Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-   Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
-   Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and purchasing/inventory software
-   Good communication and negotiation skills

**Nice to Have**

-   Experience purchasing commercial vehicle and heavy equipment parts
-   Familiarity with precast concrete, construction, or industrial manufacturing environments
-   Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Epicor, or similar)
