### **Role Overview**

We are currently seeking a **Mechanical Project Engineer** to join our Cork-based team. The successful candidate will support project delivery by coordinating engineering activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and assisting in the execution of mechanical installation works.

## Requirements

-   Develop a full understanding of the MSL scope of work
-   Report directly to the Project Manager
-   Support Area Engineers in resolving on-site engineering queries
-   Work with the Construction Manager to monitor project schedules
-   Coordinate off-site pipe fabrication in line with construction programme
-   Ensure effective on-site coordination between Mechanical and other disciplines
-   Prepare weekly progress reports for both client and Project Manager
-   Coordinate input from Area Engineers for progress and variation reporting
-   Monitor site activities for scope compliance and identify potential variations
-   Ensure timely ordering and delivery of MSL-supplied equipment
-   Liaise with consultants, PSCS, contractors, and client teams
-   Coordinate project activities with off-site fabrication teams
-   Attend and contribute to regular progress meetings
-   Participate in safety audits and monitor site safety performance
-   Support QA activities to ensure timely system handover
-   Interpret and work from piping isometrics and P&IDs

-   Minimum **4 years’ experience** in a mechanical engineering role
-   Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
-   Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and products
-   Experience reading and interpreting piping isometrics and P&IDs
-   Excellent communication and reporting skills
-   Strong organisational and coordination abilities
-   Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment

### **Desirable**

-   Experience in a construction or industrial project environment
-   Familiarity with mechanical contracting and site coordination
-   Knowledge of QA/QC processes and safety standards
