## Description

**Opportunity Summary**

Director, Marketing and Demand Generation, will lead all marketing activity and revenue outcomes across (2) sister companies: SP6 and ASCERA. These companies operate in the cybersecurity and cyber compliance services and software domains, respectively.

This role is a player/coach which leads a small team that is responsible for all activities across the marketing spectrum. This includes turning campaign execution into measurable pipeline and be the connection between marketing and sales all while helping sharpen the positioning of our products and services.

**Responsibilities**

Own a 3-person team that is responsible for all the functions below; while being hands-on in select functions that map back to your own area of expertise (while others of these areas are maintained by current marketing team members):

Marketing Planning

-   Developing smart, successful marketing strategies and tactical plans to drive revenue operations.
-   Own marketing-sourced revenue plan: a committed share of the company's overall sales target that marketing is accountable for generating, and how that will be generated.
-   Providing command over the business, understanding the market drivers (including customer needs and solutions offered), and be able to craft campaigns with measurable ROI to drive customer acquisition.
-   Leading development of high-level internal presentations addressing marketing financial performance, market campaigns, updates, etc.
-   Monitoring metrics and feedback in a fast-paced environment, course correcting and optimizing as necessary. 

Marketing Leadership

-    Responsible for the mentoring, growth, and development of other marketing team members.
-   Assign and track responsibilities across all team members.
-   Ensure that the performance of all marketing team members is done at a high level and on time and within budget.
-   Collaborate cross-organizationally with all other departments: Sales, Services (who act as SME’s in support of marketing initiatives), Finance, Software Product Management, and executive leadership.

Reporting & Analytics

-   Build and own marketing reporting infrastructure - campaign performance, ROI, attribution, conversion rates, and channel effectiveness
-   Build and maintain reporting dashboards tracking lead generation metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, website visits, lead conversion, and revenue impact
-   Translate data into actionable recommendations on what's working and what should change across channels and campaigns
-   Establish dashboards and regular reporting cadences for leadership on pipeline contribution and marketing effectiveness

Sales Alignment & Pipeline

-   Serve as the primary link between marketing and the sales department - improving lead quality, lead handoff, and marketing-to-sales reporting
-   Deliver systems for lead distribution to sales as well as lead follow-up
-   Refine MQL/SQL definitions in partnership with Sales and lead scoring models
-   Track and report on pipeline generation and marketing's contribution to revenue

Product Marketing (ASCERA)

-   Partner on positioning and messaging for ASCERA, helping sharpen audience targeting and consistently communicate its value proposition in a competitive GRC market
-   Support go-to-market efforts for ASCERA-specific campaigns

Search & Organic Growth

-   Own SEO and AEO (answer engine optimization) strategy, including technical SEO audits, on-page optimization, and content structuring for organic search and AI-driven search visibility
-   Assist with maintaining existing websites (WordPress/Elementor), including back-end work, page creation and editing, new web pages, on-site blogs, and managing services pages
-   Assist with managing and optimizing websites for search engines, including keyword research, writing meta descriptions, building links, new strategies, etc.

Marketing Operations & Technology

-   Own advanced HubSpot usage: automation, workflows, lead segmentation, and complex nurture campaigns
-   Manage email campaigns, including webinar, office hours, and blog promotion emails
-   Responsible for the quality checks of all content, web links, PDFs and other collateral used in the email marketing program
-   Lead ongoing database cleanup and data hygiene efforts - contact enrichment, segmentation, and removal of stale/bad contacts to improve overall database quality
-   Manage marketing tech administration, including third-party vendor relationships, tool approvals, access, and serving as super admin across marketing tools
-   Coordinate concurrent initiatives, deadlines, and cross-functional work with sales, consultants, and leadership
-   Maintain marketing calendars and campaign schedules

Content Development

-   Interview technical subject matter experts (SMEs) and transform complex technical discussions into engaging, business-focused content
-   Write and edit content across formats, including blog posts, white papers, case studies, customer success stories, marketing collateral, website content, and email campaigns
-   Utilize AI tools to improve content quality and accelerate content creation while maintaining accuracy and brand voice
-   Manage LinkedIn and support broader social media efforts, maintaining a professional tone and regularly ideating original content

Event Management

-   Assist with planning and execution of marketing events, including webinars, in-person/hybrid events, conferences, and field marketing
-   Research, evaluate, and select which industry events and conferences to attend or sponsor, prioritizing opportunities based on audience fit, competitive presence, and expected ROI
-   Manage event/booth logistics, budgets, timelines, and travel including registration, payments, swag inventory, packing, and on-site coordination
-   Deliver post-event reporting with a focus on measuring ROI to continually refine event strategy

## Requirements

-   8+ years of B2B marketing experience at technology companies (SaaS, software, or tech services), cybersecurity firms, or cyber compliance providers, with a strong background in demand generation or growth marketing
-   3+ years of leadership experience
-   Proven track record of owning a marketing-sourced pipeline or revenue target, including building the annual marketing plan and managing the budget to deliver it
-   Experience building marketing reporting and attribution (campaign ROI, conversion, pipeline contribution) and presenting results to executive leadership
-   Experience partnering with Sales leadership on MQL/SQL definitions, lead scoring, lead handoff, and pipeline reporting
-   Deep HubSpot experience (or a comparable marketing automation platform), with the ability to set strategy and stay hands-on with automation, workflows, and data management
-   Player/coach mindset, with hands-on expertise in at least two of the following: SEO/AEO (including technical SEO), marketing automation and nurture programs, content marketing, or event and field marketing
