**Role Summary**

As an IT Operations Specialist, you will support the day-to-day operation of CloudFactory's infrastructure, networks, and SaaS applications, helping ensure systems remain available, secure, and well maintained. You will carry out routine maintenance, provide first-level support for communication and productivity tools, and contribute to disaster recovery and compliance activities, escalating complex issues to senior team members as needed. **Responsibilities:**

Infrastructure and network support

-   Carry out routine maintenance of physical data centre infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking equipment.
-   Monitor environmental controls and network performance, escalating issues as needed.

Domain, DNS, and certificate management

-   Assist in managing domain renewals and certificate lifecycle tasks.
-   Perform basic DNS record configurations (A, CNAME, MX) under supervision.

SaaS application support

-   Test new features in SaaS applications against defined test cases.
-   Provide first-level support for communication and productivity tools (e.g., Gmail, Slack), resolving common user issues.

Disaster recovery and business continuity

-   Assist in executing disaster recovery runbooks and participate in scheduled DR tests.
-   Escalate DR-related alerts and issues as required.

Governance and compliance

-   Follow established procedures and security standards, applying good comprehension of conformance to corporate policies and information security requirements.

Continuous improvement

-   Contribute creative thinking and new approaches to completing tasks within own work assignments.

## Requirements

Must-have skills (required)

-   Technical knowledge: sound generic domain and specialist IT operations knowledge, typically gained from recognized bodies of knowledge, with an appreciation of the wider business context.
-   Communication skills: sufficient for effective engagement with colleagues and customers, using appropriate methods, tools, and processes.
-   Security and compliance awareness: fully aware of organizational standards for security, privacy, and ethics, and applies appropriate working practices in own work.
-   Problem-solving: applies a methodical approach to routine and moderately complex issue definition and resolution across a variety of environments.
-   Autonomy: works under general direction, exercising discretion in identifying and responding to complex issues within own assignments, and knows when to escalate.
-   Collaboration: interacts with and influences colleagues, and has working-level contact with customers, suppliers, and partners.
-   Continuous improvement mindset: contributes creative thinking and looks for new or better ways to complete tasks.

Academic and professional requirements

-   Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
-   3–4 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or systems administration.

Nice-to-have skills (preferred)

-   Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
-   IT certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Server+, or ITIL Foundation.
-   Exposure to administering SaaS applications, such as Google Workspace or Slack.
