Job Description – Market Expert (Urban Planning & Infrastructure)

Position: Market Expert

Qualification:

\* MBA / PGDM in Management, Economics, Finance, Urban Economics, or equivalent from a recognized institution.

Experience:

\* Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in market analysis, urban infrastructure, transport planning, or economic development projects.

Kannada speaking preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

\* Conduct market demand assessments and economic feasibility studies for urban development and infrastructure projects.

\* Analyze market trends, investment opportunities, and financing mechanisms for urban infrastructure initiatives.

\* Develop business cases and financial models for cities, development authorities, housing boards, and infrastructure agencies.

\* Support preparation of master plans, mobility plans, and urban development strategies through market and economic analysis.

\* Identify potential funding sources, market borrowing options, and public-private partnership (PPP) opportunities.

\* Lead investor outreach activities and stakeholder consultations.

\* Assess commercial viability of real estate and mixed-use development projects.

\* Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for government agencies and project stakeholders.

\* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, transport experts, engineers, and financial consultants.

Preferred Skills:

\* Strong knowledge of urban economics, infrastructure financing, and PPP frameworks.

\* Experience in market research, financial analysis, and investment promotion.

\* Excellent analytical, report-writing, and stakeholder management skills.

\* Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and economic/financial modeling tools.
