About the company:  
Our client is a Malaysian construction and civil engineering company that operates mainly in infrastructure, roadworks and building projects.  
  
Job responsibilities:  
\- Oversee and manage all civil and structural engineering activities on the railway project site in Penang.  
\- Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, codes, and regulations.  
\- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.  
\- Conduct site inspections and assessments to monitor progress and ensure quality control.  
\- Prepare and review engineering designs, plans, and specifications.  
\- Identify and resolve any engineering issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.  
\- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site staff.  
\- Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are strictly adhered to on site.  
\- Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.  
\- Manage project budgets and resources effectively to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.  
  
Job requirements:  
\- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.  
\- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with a focus on railway projects.  
\- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.  
\- Strong knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and regulations related to railway construction.  
\- Proven experience in project management and site supervision.  
\- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.  
\- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
\- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.  
\- Proficiency in engineering software and tools.  
\- Willingness to be based in Penang and travel to project sites as required.

Salary:  
Up to MYR 8,000 (Total Package)
