## Description

A well-known firm providing audit, tax, and advisory services: Senior Accountant with strong SAP experience (Marousi)

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Maintaining and updating accounting records and files.
-   Recording and properly maintaining accounting entries in the general ledger, including depreciation, trial balances, payment reconciliations, and account analysis.
-   Monitoring, reviewing, and reconciling commercial management records with accounting records (customer and supplier accounts, fixed asset register, bank accounts, inventories, financial instruments, etc.) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, depending on each client’s requirements.
-   Implementing new accounting policies and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and international standards.
-   Preparation and monitoring of financial data (accounting and tax-related).
-   Submission of tax returns and timely fulfillment of obligations towards tax authorities and other relevant bodies (VAT, myDATA, withholding taxes, intra-group transactions listing, E9 property declaration, etc.).
-   Managing tax payments and tax filings.
-   Liaising and handling procedures with public authorities and banks, and providing required documentation where necessary (General Commercial Registry (GEMI), Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), etc.).
-   Preparation of annual Financial Statements.
-   Collaboration and communication with the company’s clients.

## Requirements

-   **Very good knowledge of SAP.**

-   **Excellent command of the English language.**
-   5-7 years of experience in an organized accounting department in a similar position.
-   Excellent knowledge of accounting and tax legislation.
-   Experience in the preparation of annual Financial Statements.
-   Strong communication and teamwork skills.
-   Knowledge and experience in maintaining **Category C accounting books** (double-entry bookkeeping).
-   Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting from a higher education institution.
-   A postgraduate degree in Economics or a related field will be considered an additional qualification.
