## Description

**Salary: R23 000 – R25 000 per month**

Remote Recruitment is hiring a **Document Controller** for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa.

**Role overview**

You will own version control and filing for a UK business's documents, so the right people always find the current copy. This is a hands-on role where accuracy and follow-through matter every day, and you will be trusted to work independently without being chased. You will also be part of a supportive remote team, with regular check-ins, clear priorities and the tools you need to do your best work from day one, so you always know what good looks like.

You will work UK business hours (09:00–17:00 UK, 11:00–19:00 SAST) from home, as part of a South African team placed directly with established UK employers. Remote Recruitment supports you from placement onwards.

**Key responsibilities**

-   Register, number and file incoming and outgoing documents
-   Maintain version control and revision histories
-   Keep SharePoint or Drive folders tidy and consistently named
-   Distribute approved documents to the right teams
-   Run regular audits for missing or superseded files

**What you'll need**

-   Experience with SharePoint, Google Drive or a similar document system
-   Excellent attention to detail
-   Strong filing and naming discipline
-   Clear written English
-   Comfort following controlled procedures

**Nice to have**

-   Familiarity with ISO-style document control
-   Experience with Confluence or Notion
-   Basic Excel reporting
