## Description

MerchantSpring is a SaaS analytics and reporting company that gives agencies, investors, brands, and vendors a single source of truth for their e-commerce and marketplace performance.

Every release is a chance to showcase value, and much of that value comes from what we have already built on the MerchantSpring platform including combinations of features, new and existing, that unlock more than either does on its own. The opportunity is in explaining what that can do for their business, and our marketing team leads it: launching pages that drive conversion, and messaging that connects the value of our product to the problems our customers are trying to solve.

**About the role**

We are looking for a Product Marketing and Content Specialist who will know MerchantSpring inside out: what the product does, how customers use it, what they struggle with, and how its features help them. That means looking closely at what we have built and what is shipping next, and finding ways to connect those features to solve real problems for agencies, brands and vendors. You will turn that understanding into clear, useful content for our landing pages, emails, campaigns, and more.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on product understanding, messaging and content. You will find opportunities to explain the product better, develop the ideas and write the content. We’re seeking someone who can bring their own insights, angles and the first draft.

AI tools can be part of how you work, but generating great copy is only one part of the job. What matters more is firsthand product knowledge, thoughtful conversations, judgement about what matters to our users and accountability for the accuracy and quality of the end product.

You will report to the Growth Marketing Manager and work closely with Sales, Partnerships, Client Success, and Product. Success in this role is determined by your ability to explain the product and its use cases, spot marketing opportunities and turn them into finished content. It is also measured by the contribution that content makes to demos and qualified sales conversions, and the quality and timely delivery of product marketing and content work.

**What you'll do**

- Learn the product through hands-on use, demos and conversations. Keep up with new releases, understand what each capability does, where it is useful and where its limits are, and how we speak about the product.
- Work with Sales and Customer Success, listen to customer calls and speak with customers to understand their goals, questions and objections. Find useful examples and customer stories, and validate results before we publish them.
- Connect features to customer problems and to other existing and new features. For example, explore how Search Query Performance (SQP) and Search Terms Report could work together. Then explain the value of features in a way a customer can understand and find deeper value in.
- Decide which benefits to lead with for each audience and piece of content. Explain why the product matters, rather than simply listing features.
- Keep a shared record of useful customer examples, product explanations and claims the team can use.
- Write and improve landing pages, feature and use-case pages, emails, customer stories, and social posts. Develop content for product launches and campaigns through to review and publication.
- Review existing marketing assets and identify product value that is missing, outdated or poorly explained. Use feedback from customers and colleagues, along with content performance, to decide what to improve next.

## Requirements

### What we're looking for

- 2-5 years of experience in product marketing, content marketing or a similar role for B2B software or another detailed product.
- A quick learner. You should be able to pick up how our product works and explain it clearly.
- Excellent English writing and editing, with experience producing website, email or product content. You make complex information understandable without falling back on generic claims.
- Curiosity and good judgement. You ask useful follow-up questions, connect what you learn to customer needs, and check assumptions before turning them into marketing.
- Experience gathering customer insight and working directly with product and customer-facing teams. You can find the information you need and build productive working relationships.
- The ability to manage agreed priorities and take work from an idea to publication. You are comfortable suggesting what to work on, explaining why it matters and following it through.
- Eligibility to work in Malaysia.

### Useful Experience

- Experience with e-commerce, marketplaces, retail media or analytics.
- Experience with an in-house SaaS product, ideally analytics, reporting, or another complex software product with many features.
- Working knowledge of HubSpot, Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira, and UserMaven.
- Basic CMS publishing.
