We’re looking for a Data Engineer to maintain and support our newly established Azure data warehouse. In this hands-on role, you’ll collaborate with the Applications Team, Finance, the Data Governance & Quality Manager, and the wider IT function to ensure our data remains accurate, timely, and trusted.

In a small but growing team, you’ll gain exposure to multiple data domains making this an ideal role for someone eager to learn and grow.

## Requirements

### **Responsibilities**

-   Maintain and enhance the Azure Data warehouse.
-   Develop and maintain ETL processes, data mappings & transformations.
-   Ensure data integrity, quality, privacy, and security, in line with client and regulatory requirements.
-   Optimise data solutions for performance and scalability.
-   Adhere to Interpath’s software engineering best practices.
-   Act as a point of contact for business data developing subject matter expertise

### **Essential Experience Required**

-   2+  years’ experience in a data engineering role.
-   Hands on experience with Databricks notebooks and Azure Synapse pipelines.
-   Strong SQL experience (including views and stored procedures).
-   Experience of working with APIs to integrate data flows between disparate cloud systems.
-   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
-   The aptitude to quickly understand information, business models and requirements.
-   Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to establish working relationships.

### **Desirable Criteria:**

-   Experience following CI/CD protocols through Azure DevOps pipelines.
-   Expertise in Business Intelligence, ideally via Power BI for data visualisation and reporting.
-   Awareness of regulated environments, including data legislation and cyber security accreditations (e.g., GDPR, ISO27001, Cyber Essentials).
-   Experience of working in a financial services firm.
