**Employment Type:** Contract / Temporary assignment - 12 months  
 

### **Compensation Details:**

-   Lean Portfolio Management 18: Salaries typically range from $96,557 to $128,743 annually, based on qualifications and experiences.

### **Location:** 

-   Export Development Canada operates under a hybrid work model, with employees currently required to work from the office **two** days per week. Effective September 2026, this requirement will increase to three days per week and will be implemented gradually through a phased approach based on employee location. **(subject to change)**. 
-   This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa.

### **Team Overview:**

The Enterprise Portfolio Management team enables delivery of the highest value initiatives by ensuring teams are empowered to deliver strategic outcomes in a standardized way. Under the leadership of Enterprise Strategy Enablement, the team has set out to achieve the following objectives for EDC:

-   Govern strategic initiatives, balance the portfolio, and visualize risks, consistent with Portfolio Delivery Standards and align transformation requests with EDC’s strategy and ensure that approved initiatives follow all requirements of the Initiative Lifecycle Framework (ILF) throughout the full lifecycle.
-   Ensure that Planview, the system of record, is available and functional by reviewing data quality to support Financial Management and Portfolio Performance. While governing a cohesive set of standards adopted by delivery teams, to provide insights on how work is progressing toward enterprise goals.
-   Create centralized reports to transparently communicate how teams are progressing against EDC’s strategic objectives and the status of initiatives, including visualizing EDC’s scorecard in a central location.

As a Senior Advisor, Enterprise Portfolio Management, you will play a key role in strengthening governance, enhancing portfolio oversight, and enabling executive decision-making across the transformation portfolio. You will work closely with leadership, delivery teams, and control functions to ensure initiatives are well-governed, compliant, and aligned to enterprise priorities.

### **What you will be doing:** 

-   Provide portfolio governance oversight by reinforcing adherence to the Initiative Lifecycle Framework (ILF), including gates, checkpoints, and controls.

-   Act as a second-line function, applying independent challenge, monitoring compliance, and supporting coordination with internal audit.
-   Lead and support continuous improvement of governance frameworks and portfolio processes.
-   Drive process optimization, including lifecycle processes, change requests, and financial governance practices.
-   Optimize Planview and portfolio tooling to strengthen reporting, data quality, and decision support.
-   Apply expertise in portfolio, program, risk, financial, and resource management to support effective delivery across initiatives.
-   Support major program reviews, business case oversight, and change governance.
-   Contribute to strategic planning and portfolio modeling aligned to enterprise priorities.
-   Support leadership in governance readiness and planning for IOC and EELG cycles.
-   Lead and contribute to executive and board-level reporting on the transformation portfolio.

### **What we are looking for:** 

-   Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
-   Minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise portfolio management, governance, or advisory roles.
-   Proven ability to work across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
-   Strong understanding of portfolio and project management frameworks (e.g., PMBOK, Lean Portfolio Management, Agile).
-   Experience with governance frameworks, lifecycle processes, and compliance oversight.
-   Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

### **What will make you stand out:** 

-   Experience with Planview or similar portfolio management tools.
-   Exposure to financial governance, audit, or large-scale transformation programs.
-   Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, Lean Portfolio Management.
-   Bilingual in both official languages (English and French).
