## Description

Liberty Community Programs is a residential Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment program dedicated to helping individuals build healthy, meaningful lives through evidence-based treatment, compassion, accountability, and recovery.

**Position Summary**

The Group Facilitator is responsible for planning and facilitating engaging, therapeutic psychoeducational and recovery-focused groups for adult residents in our ASAM Level 3.5 residential treatment program. This position plays an important role in creating a positive therapeutic environment while supporting residents in developing the skills needed for long-term recovery.

This position focuses on **group facilitation and resident engagement** and does **not** provide individual therapy.

**Responsibilities**

-   Facilitate scheduled psychoeducational and recovery groups.
-   Prepare lesson plans and group materials.
-   Encourage participation and maintain a safe, respectful group environment.
-   Complete group documentation accurately and within required timeframes.
-   Monitor resident participation and communicate concerns to the clinical team.
-   Collaborate with counselors, case managers, nursing, and leadership.
-   Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
-   Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and clinical team discussions.
-   Support a trauma-informed, person-centered treatment environment.
-   Assist with discharge planning, recovery resources, and vocational readiness activities as assigned.

## Requirements

**Required**

-   Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or a related field:

-   Psychology
-   Social Work
-   Sociology
-   Human Services
-   Behavioral Science
-   Counseling
-   Criminal Justice
-   Addiction Studies

-   Strong communication and group facilitation skills.
-   Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
-   Proficient with documentation and basic computer skills.
-   Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

**Preferred**

-   Experience working in behavioral health, substance use treatment, mental health, residential treatment, or human services.
-   Knowledge of trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, CBT, or recovery-oriented practices.
