## Description

We are seeking an experienced **CNC Milling Setup Machinist** to join a high-precision manufacturing operation supporting the **aerospace, defense, and semiconductor industries**.

This position will focus on setting up and machining **complex, tight-tolerance components** in a highly technical, high-mix manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has a strong CNC milling or lathe foundation, can independently perform setups, and is comfortable troubleshooting and making adjustments at the machine.

**2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday**

-   Four 10-hour shifts
-   Fridays off
-   Overtime opportunities available

**Pay: $30–$50/hr+, highly depending on experience and technical capabilities.** Additional flexibility is available for highly experienced machinists.

**Responsibilities:**

-   Perform complete setups on **CNC milling machines** for complex precision components.
-   Set tooling, fixtures, workholding, offsets, and work coordinates.
-   Read and interpret engineering drawings, **GD&T, dimensions, and tolerances**.
-   Prove out jobs and make necessary adjustments at the machine.
-   Troubleshoot tooling, workholding, dimensional, and machining issues.
-   Make **G-code, tool, and offset adjustments** as necessary.
-   Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, indicators, height gauges, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
-   Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet customer and engineering requirements.
-   Work closely with CNC programmers, engineering, and quality to improve machining processes.
-   Support both new and established jobs in a **high-mix precision manufacturing environment**.

## Requirements

-   CNC milling setup experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
-   Experience with **3-axis, 4-axis, and/or 5-axis CNC milling**.
-   Strong blueprint reading and dimensional inspection skills.
-   Experience machining **complex, tight-tolerance components**.
-   Working knowledge of **G-code** and CNC program adjustments.
-   Experience with Matsuura, Yasda, Makino, Feeler, Fanuc, or similar equipment is a plus.
-   Mastercam experience is a plus.
-   Aerospace, defense, semiconductor, medical, or other **high-precision machining experience** strongly preferred.
