**This role is a 6-month fixed-term contract and is based in Haarlem, the Netherlands.**

## Requirements

This role is currently comprised of a range of responsibilities which are listed below. As the organisation grows, these responsibilities may change and develop accordingly. 

**Onboarding Responsibilities** 

-   Acting as the 1st line of defence for any inbound new business prospects and existing clients alongside the BDM/ RM with respect to AML, FinCrime and sanction risk- and compliance-related issues during the onboarding process, as well as checks related to upsell/ cross-sell.
-   Performing checks within the scope of Initial Review.
-   Screening prospective clients for sanctions, PEP exposure, and adverse media to determine whether they are within risk appetite.
-   Perform client onboarding due diligence of potential new clients and/or existing clients applying for new products.
-   Join calls/meetings alongside BDM/ RM (with the approval and supervision of the line manager) to assess potential risks of onboarding prospects. -
-   If deemed necessary for business purposes, this person may provide general information to a significant prospective or existing client regarding CJ's approach to AML/CTF compliance, sanctions, and fraud. 
-   Work with RM’s regarding existing clients that have been flagged as a potential compliance risk.
-   Notifying the line manager about concerns and making escalations to the second line of defence where appropriate.

-   Contributing to the periodical monitoring, transaction and sanction screening, if requested.
-   Supporting the line manager in the implementation of controls across business lines.
-   Support, advise and educate business lines (BDMs, RMs, etc.) on points of AML/CFT/FinCrime and regulation.
-   Attend conferences, talks and training sessions on the regulatory framework.
-   Maintain relevant records and documentation, keep an audit trail.  
    Among other things, ensure that:

1.  All communications and other information related to prospects and clients are recorded correctly, promptly and completely in the CRM and/or other tools used for this purpose.
2.  All reports are properly and securely organised on the CJ Google Drive and/or other tools used for this purpose. 

-   Contribute to the development, maintenance and implementation of sales- and compliance-related policies, procedures and other internal regulations, if requested by the department’s management.
-   Develop suggestions to enhance the CRM and other licensed and freeware tools used by the Sales and Marketing Department, as well as their integration with other software and services used by CJ.
-   Work collaboratively with other CJ employees and departments.
-   Perform all responsibilities and related activities in accordance with policies, procedures, and other enacted internal regulations of Clear Junction applicable to this role, while complying with country and applicable international laws and regulations.
-   Make the best effort to:

1.  Achieve the established KPIs for this role.
2.  Maximise performance as agreed with the line manager in responsibility areas where there are no established KPIs.

-   Temporarily perform other responsibilities, projects, or roles within the scope of the department's tasks, if requested by the department head.
-   Participate in calls with the Clients (only while overseen by the line manager) to contribute to guiding them within the legal complexity, technical and onboarding process, helping to outline the onboarding roadmap and set the expectations. 

**Periodic Monitoring Responsibilities**

-   Acting as the 1st line of defence with respect to periodically reviewing and monitoring existing clients for AML, FinCrime and sanction risk- and compliance-related issues in accordance with the client’s risk score. 
-   Studying possible substantial changes in client business model, licences suspended, revoked or obtained, search for adverse media etc.
-   Investigate issues found;
-   If client’s explanations are needed, Periodical Monitoring Analyst (PMA) addresses the client either with a Client Services Manager acting as a proxy or, in exceptional cases, by turning to the line manager, who is authorised to engage in direct communications with clients (i.e., direct communications between PMAs and clients are forbidden).
-   As a result of the investigation, the client’s level of risk can be updated, and AML rules can be changed;
-   Notifying the line manager about concerns and making escalations to the AML Compliance Team where appropriate. 
-   Documenting results of periodic monitoring.
-   Contributing to the client due diligence, transaction and sanction screening, if requested.
-   Attending training sessions, talks and conferences on the regulatory framework, when requested.
-   Maintain relevant records and documentation, keep an audit trail.  
    Among other things, ensure that:

1.  All communications and other information related to prospects and clients are recorded correctly, promptly and completely in the CRM and/or other tools used for this purpose.
2.  All reports are properly and securely organised on the CJ Google Drive and/or other tools used for this purpose. 

-   Contribute to the development, maintenance and implementation of compliance-related policies, procedures and other internal regulations, if requested by the line manager.
-   Develop suggestions to enhance the CRM and other licensed and freeware tools used by the Sales and Marketing Department, as well as their integration with other software and services used by CJ.

**Payment screening Responsibilities**

-   Acting as the 1st line of defence with respect to:

1.  Sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening via Siron on a daily basis.
2.  Daily client payments screening for AML, FinCrime and sanction risk- and compliance-related issues. 

-   Notifying the line manager about concerns and making escalations to the AML Compliance Team where appropriate.
-   Contributing to the client due diligence, periodic monitoring, if requested.
-   Attending training sessions, talks and conferences on the regulatory framework, when requested.
-   Maintain relevant records and documentation, keep audit trail.  
    Among other things, ensure that:

1.  All communications and other information related to prospects and clients are recorded correctly, promptly and completely in the CRM and/or other tools used for this purpose.
2.  All reports are properly and securely organised on the CJ Google Drive and/or other tools used for this purpose. 

-   Contribute to the development, maintenance and implementation of compliance-related policies, procedures and other internal regulations, if requested by the line manager.
-   Develop suggestions to enhance the CRM and other licensed and freeware tools used by the Sales and Marketing Department, as well as their integration with other software and services used by CJ.  
    (Please note that since the AML Compliance Team is a sole owner of all compliance-related solutions in CJ, all suggestions should be submitted by the Commercial Compliance Team to the AML Compliance Team, and not directly to the IT Department).
