We are looking for a **Power Electronics Design Engineer** to design and develop high-performance power conversion solutions for a wide range of applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing **AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies**, selecting appropriate converter topologies, and developing reliable, high-efficiency power electronic systems for low, medium, and high-voltage applications.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze customer requirements, perform feasibility studies, and develop robust power electronics solutions that meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

### Power Electronics Design

- Design and develop **AC-DC and DC-DC Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS)** for various power and voltage ranges.
- Develop power converter topologies including **Flyback, Forward, Half Bridge, Full Bridge, and Push-Pull converters**.
- Select appropriate power components such as MOSFETs, capacitors, PWM controllers, driver circuits, magnetics, and other key devices.
- Optimize converter efficiency, thermal performance, reliability, and overall system performance.

### Circuit Design & Analysis

- Analyze customer requirements and perform feasibility studies for power electronics solutions.
- Design and develop circuit schematics using **OrCAD Capture** or equivalent schematic design tools.
- Perform detailed electrical and thermal analysis to ensure robust product performance.
- Validate design decisions through simulations, calculations, and laboratory testing.

### Reliability & Quality Engineering

- Conduct reliability and failure analysis, including:

- Derating Analysis
- FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis)
- DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
- Thermal analysis (Theta-JC and related calculations)

- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and reliability requirements throughout the design lifecycle.

### Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Collaborate with hardware, testing, manufacturing, and product teams during product development.
- Support prototype bring-up, debugging, validation, and design optimization.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations for continuous improvement.

### Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience in **Power Electronics Design** with hands-on development of SMPS solutions.
- Strong understanding of **AC-DC and DC-DC converter design**.
- Experience with converter topologies including Flyback, Forward, Half Bridge, Full Bridge, and Push-Pull.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage, high-power, or high-wattage power supply design.
- Experience selecting power electronic components including MOSFETs, PWM controllers, capacitors, and driver circuits.
- Proficiency in schematic design using **OrCAD Capture** or similar EDA tools.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

### Preferred Qualifications
