In this role, you will be responsible for serving as a bus driver for transportation of children to and from the childcare center and help maintain a clean and safe learning environment for all children. All Around Children offers generous benefits and incredible opportunities for professional development and personal growth in a creative, caring environment making it an ideal place to grow and nurture your skills and experience. ### **Bus Driver Responsibilities** - Driving a 14-passenger school bus. - Potential Candidate should have previous driving experience and be comfortable with groups of children **(5 years of age - 12 years of age).** - Assist in documentation for attendance and transportation services provided. - Bus inspections, maintaining scheduled bus/van maintenance, and bus cleaning is required daily. - Responsible for the morning **(7:30a - 9:30a)** and afternoon **(2:30p - 4:30p)** bus run Monday through Friday. ### Floater Responsibilities - Provide support for the Lead and Assistant Teachers. - Assist with maintaining schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest and playtime. - Conducting daily duties such as serving meals, toileting/changing pull ups, recording daily reports/attendance, covers breaks, fill in during staff absence, engage in play and other daily activities. - Maintain a healthy and safe environment for all children. - Attend and participate in Center-provided meetings and trainings to comply with state regulations for child care professionals. ## Requirements - The Bus Driver should have previous driving experience and be comfortable working with groups of children ranging from (5 years of age - 12 years of age). - At least a high school diploma or equivalent. - Must be at least 21 years of age or older. - AA or higher degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field will have a competitive edge. - Current physical, and ability to pass BCI/FBI background check. - A valid driver's license with a clean driving record. - Comfortable driving a 14-passenger bus. - Experience driving a school bus or similar vehicle preferred. - Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations related to transporting children. - Seasonal requirements would include field trips and some supervision support while there. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others. - Maintain a clean and neat appearance. - Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers and support staff. - Reliable, compassionate, and able to create a warm, nurturing and responsive environment for children and families. - Must be dependable and maintain a good work record as to punctuality and daily attendance. **Work Environment & Physical Demands** - Ability to kneel, bend, squat, stand, and sit on the floor or on child-sized furniture for prolonged periods of time. - Ability to lift and/or move a child repetitively weighing up to 50lbs. - Ability to work in a moderate to noisy work environment. - Ability to assist children in an emergency situation. - Climb and descend 1 to 2 flights of stairs (while helping children safely navigate steps). - Able to meet the physical demands staying in proximity of children to be within arm's reach. - Participate in safety drills by following the established guideline which includes moving children from one location to another. - Withstand outdoor temperatures and condition for extended periods of time during all seasons. - Tdap and MMR Vaccination - TB Screening ## Benefits **Health and Wellness Benefits:** - Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage - Short Term Disability Insurance - 100% Employer-Paid Life Insurance **Financial and Retirement Benefits:** - 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan (with up to 3% Company Match) - Employee Assistance Program (EAP) **Work-Life Balance:** - Paid Time Off (PTO) - Paid Parental Leave - Paid Holidays - Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Leave - No Weekend Work - One-Hour Lunch Breaks **Professional Development:** - Paid Professional Development Days - Employer-Sponsored Child Development Associate (CDA) Program **Workplace Perks:** - Heavily Discounted Child Care - Referral Bonus Program (New Family & Staff Referrals) - Complimentary Company Apparel - Free Coffee, Tea, and Snacks - Bright and Inviting Facility, with Dedicated Staff Break Areas **Please note: The employment application process for All Around Children is separate and independent from the child enrollment process.
