## About The Missing Link

The Missing Link is an Australian IT services and consulting organisation specialising in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, automation and specialist technology services.

We are seeking an experienced **Senior Microsoft Data Platform Consultant** for a short-term client engagement.

## About the Role

You will lead the consolidation and migration of an existing **Microsoft Access / Excel VBA application to Azure SQL Database**.

The client has limited internal technical capability, so you must be comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to understand the existing application, validate requirements and deliver the solution.

## Key Responsibilities

-   Analyse and consolidate multiple Microsoft Access databases
-   Validate database schemas and data integrity
-   Migrate Access schemas and data to Azure SQL
-   Develop and execute ETL and data reconciliation
-   Configure ODBC connectivity
-   Update Excel VBA database connections
-   Test existing VBA macros and forms
-   Lead UAT and resolve migration issues
-   Produce technical and handover documentation

## Requirements

## Requirements

-   Strong Microsoft Access experience
-   Strong Excel VBA experience
-   Azure SQL / SQL Server expertise
-   Access-to-SQL migration experience
-   SQL, ETL and data reconciliation skills
-   ODBC configuration and troubleshooting experience
-   Strong stakeholder and requirements-gathering skills
-   Ability to independently deliver an end-to-end technical solution

## Desirable

-   Legacy application modernisation experience
-   Azure data platform experience
-   Financial services or insurance experience
-   Consulting experience with non-technical stakeholders
