### 📝 Job Description: Fire Sprinkler Estimator

**Position Overview**

The Fire Sprinkler Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and material takeoffs for fire protection systems, specifically sprinkler installations. This role ensures that bids and proposals are competitive, compliant with industry standards, and aligned with project specifications. The estimator will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to deliver precise and timely estimates that support successful project execution.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP plans to identify fire protection requirements.
-   Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for fire sprinkler systems, including piping, fittings, valves, and equipment.
-   Utilize **Autosprink** and other digital tools to generate accurate system layouts and estimates.
-   Prepare bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation.
-   Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and procurement staff to validate estimates.
-   Identify discrepancies or conflicts in drawings and communicate findings to stakeholders.
-   Maintain estimation records and update cost databases for future projects.
-   Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.

### 🎯 Qualifications

**Education & Experience**

-   Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
-   Minimum 2–3 years of experience in fire protection estimating, plan takeoffs, or related construction roles.

**Technical Skills**

-   Proficiency in **Autosprink** software for fire sprinkler design and estimation.
-   Competence in Microsoft **Word**, **Excel**, and PDF viewing/markup tools.
-   Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, materials, and industry standards.
-   Ability to read and interpret complex architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
