## Description

Key Responsibilities

-   Design, build, and maintain scalable **test automation frameworks** from the ground up.
-   Develop automated tests across:

-   **API** – REST Assured, Karate, pytest, or equivalent.
-   **UI** – Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent.
-   **Database/Data** – SQL-based validation of data quality and integrity.

-   Build reusable automation architecture, libraries, utilities, fixtures, and reporting.
-   Validate data for:

-   Completeness
-   Correctness
-   Consistency
-   Duplicates
-   Data integrity across systems

-   Develop and execute **performance and load tests** using tools such as JMeter, k6, or Gatling.
-   Integrate automated tests into **CI/CD pipelines** and ensure critical failures can prevent defective releases.
-   Investigate automation failures, identify root causes, and work with developers to resolve defects.
-   Define and maintain appropriate test coverage across APIs, UI, backend services, and data pipelines.
-   Contribute to overall **test strategy and quality engineering practices** across multiple teams.
-   Continuously improve automation reliability, execution speed, maintainability, and coverage.
-   Mentor other QA engineers and promote engineering best practices within the QA team.

Required Skills & Experience

-   **5+ years of professional QA/testing experience**, with strong focus on automation.
-   Proven experience **building or significantly rebuilding automation frameworks**, rather than only writing tests within an existing framework.
-   Strong programming skills in at least one of:

-   **Python**
-   **Java**
-   **TypeScript**

-   Strong hands-on experience with API automation using technologies such as:

-   REST Assured
-   Karate
-   pytest
-   or equivalent frameworks

-   Strong experience with UI automation using:

-   Playwright
-   Cypress
-   Selenium
-   or equivalent tools

-   Strong **SQL** skills for automated data validation and database testing.
-   Practical experience with **performance/load testing**, using JMeter, k6, Gatling, or similar.
-   Experience integrating automated tests into **CI/CD pipelines**.
-   Strong understanding of test automation architecture, design patterns, maintainability, and scalability.
-   Experience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments.
-   Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

-   Experience testing **streaming or event-driven data pipelines**.
-   Exposure to **security testing or penetration testing**.
-   Experience owning or contributing to **test strategy across multiple engineering teams**.
-   Experience with cloud environments and modern DevOps tooling.
-   Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and distributed systems.
-   Experience testing data-intensive or high-throughput platforms.

Candidates whose experience is primarily manual testing, test-case execution, or writing tests inside an existing framework without significant framework-development experience are unlikely to be a strong fit.
