## Description

Carazo Enterprise SL is a luxury brand distribution company established in 2012, known for high-quality service and best-in-class distribution channels for the brands we represent. Our success is built on modern infrastructure and smart organizational and technological solutions.

We currently operate multiple legal entities across multiple jurisdictions across the EU, Latam, and the USA — and are looking for an experienced accounting leader to take full ownership of our international finance function.

### The Role

As Head of International Accounting, you will supervise and control the entire accounting function of our group. Working with both our in-house team and coordinating a network of local accountants in each jurisdiction, you will own everything from day-to-day invoicing and banking to year-end closures, financial statements, regulatory filings, and external audits.

### Global Accounting & Reporting

- Oversee accounting operations across all our international entities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial records
- Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes across all jurisdictions
- Ensure alignment of accounting policies with IFRS and local GAAP standards
- Perform accounting reconciliations by company and monthly invoice reconciliation for the Group (matching invoices with bank statements)
- Coordinate with outsourced local accounting teams on closing activities and tax calculations
- Verify accuracy of data in quarterly and annual financial statements across all Group entities

### Compliance, Tax & Governance

- Ensure full compliance with local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements in each jurisdiction
- Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting, working alongside local advisors
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risk

### Multi-Entity & Cross-Border Coordination

- Align accounting practices and reporting standards across multiple legal entities
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and transfer pricing coordination
- Act as the central coordination point between finance teams in different countries

### Financial Planning & Business Support

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Provide insights into profitability, cash flow, and cost structures across international operations
- Identify financial risks and recommend data-driven actions to support business decisions

### Process Optimization & Systems

- Drive standardization and automation of accounting processes across entities
- Improve reporting efficiency and data quality through system enhancements
- Ensure consistency in chart of accounts, reporting templates, and financial controls

### Leadership & Team Development

- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team across multiple locations
- Ensure consistent performance standards, training, and knowledge sharing
- Build a scalable finance function capable of supporting international growth

## Requirements

### Essential Requirements

- University degree in accounting (or an equivalent professional accounting qualification)
- Professional certification: CPA, ACCA, or equivalent — mandatory
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a Chief Accountant or Head of Accounting role
- Proven experience managing accounting across multiple international jurisdictions (EU and US preferred)
- Full-cycle, hands-on accounting experience: bank conciliations, bookkeeping, closing, financial statements
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading an accounting team
- Direct involvement in audit processes
- Fluency in English (C1 or above) **mandatory**;  fluency in Russian (B2 or above) a strong advantage

### Nice to Have

- Working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP, including their reconciliation
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (strong advantage), Holded, or Xero
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills
- Experience with payment platforms such as AMEX, VivaWallet, or Checkout

_This role may not be the right fit if you have no prior team leadership experience, have only managed accounting within a single local jurisdiction, or have worked exclusively in a passive accounting capacity within low-volume or low-transaction environments._

**What Success Looks Like**

Success in this role means building a highly reliable, scalable, and internationally aligned accounting function across all group entities. Within the first 12 months, you will establish stronger financial controls, improve reporting consistency across jurisdictions, streamline closing processes, and provide leadership with accurate and timely financial visibility to support international growth.

- As Head of International Accounting, your success will be measured by your ability to:
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across all international entities
- Maintain full compliance with local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements
- Improve month-end and year-end closing efficiency and accuracy
- Build scalable accounting processes and internal controls
- Coordinate effectively with external accountants, auditors, and advisors across jurisdictions
- Increase visibility into cash flow, profitability, and financial performance
- Develop a high-performing international accounting function capable of supporting continued global expansion

## Benefits

- Fully remote position; work from anywhere in the world
- Attractive compensation package, including a base salary and performance based bonuses
- Fast-growing international company with high-quality premium products
- Real opportunities for professional growth and impact
