**Overview**

**Bassett Healthcare Network**, is seeking an Optometrist to join our staff.

-   **Salary Range: $150,000 - $184,483**
-   **Sign-on Bonus: up to $100,000**
-   **Location: Cooperstown, NY**
-   **Training Stipend: up to $40,000**

**Job Description & Responsibilities**

-   Join an established group of 5 Ophthalmologists and 3 Optometrists. 
-   High quality clinical environment with state-of-the-art equipment
-   Comprehensive Optometric Practice: Routine eye exams, diagnosis and management of ocular disease including glaucoma, cataract, cornea disease, diabetic retinal exams and monitoring age-related macular degeneration. Provide urgent care during clinic hours.
-   Day Call – 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM some weekdays
-   Referral patterns to tertiary care ophthalmologists are well established
-   Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region
-   Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons

## Requirements

-   OD
-   Completion of an accredited USA Optometry Program
-   New York medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
-   BLS Certification Required

**Compensation**

-   Salary Range: $150,000 - $184,483 plus performance-based compensation.

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards_
