## Description

**Overview**

We are looking for a Finance Systems Analyst / Financial Reporting Analyst to support the development of financial reporting, forecasting, and analytical capabilities across the business.

This role sits between Finance and IT, helping translate financial and operational requirements into meaningful reports, dashboards, forecasts, and data models. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, ERP users, and the internal technology team to extract, validate, and analyse data from systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SQL databases, and other operational platforms.

The role is suited to someone with strong financial and accounting understanding, combined with solid analytical and technical skills.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Develop and maintain financial reports, forecasts, and analytical models
-   Produce reporting relating to areas such as:

-   Cash flow forecasting
-   Depreciation reporting
-   Budget vs actual analysis
-   P&L and balance sheet analysis
-   Operational and management reporting

-   Work with Finance and business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and define reporting logic
-   Collaborate with internal IT and development teams to source and validate data from ERP systems, databases, APIs, and other business systems
-   Build and maintain reporting solutions using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar platforms
-   Ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of financial data and reporting outputs
-   Assist in improving reporting automation and reducing manual processes
-   Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests

## Requirements

**Essential**

-   Strong understanding of accounting and corporate finance concepts
-   Experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, Oracle, or similar
-   Strong Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivots, Power Query, or financial modelling
-   Experience working with SQL and relational databases
-   Experience building reports, dashboards, and forecasting models
-   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-   Ability to communicate effectively with both Finance and technical teams

**Desirable**

-   Experience with Power BI or similar BI/reporting platforms
-   Experience working with APIs or integrating data from multiple systems
-   Knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
-   Exposure to shipping, commodities, trading, or operational finance environments
-   Basic understanding of data warehousing or ETL concepts
