## Description

We are looking for a highly passionate, self-driven, hand-on and analytical product manager who pushes the boundaries of what is possible.

**Our Company**

Invision AI is building a universal AI platform for computer vision applications. Powered by a unique multi-camera stack that generates high-integrity 3D digital twins of dynamic environments, our technology powers disruptive, market-leading solutions in intelligent infrastructure and global

Transportation.

**The Role**

We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to take complete ownership of our flagship Vehicle Occupancy Detection (iVOD) product—a high-precision system that consistently outperforms global competitors in independent testing.

You will own the complete product lifecycle from end to end, bridging high-level strategy with physical hardware selection, edge software deployment, and hands-on client delivery.

If you thrive at the intersection of complex hardware, edge AI, and field execution—and love the challenge of building real-world mechatronic systems that shape smart transportation—keep reading.

**What you will do**

 Product & Systems Architecture:

- Maintain and evolve the iVOD roadmap by fusing customer feedback with state-of-the-art developments in computer vision and edge computing.

- Drive mechatronic and hardware specification, including component selection for vision sensors, auxiliaries, illuminators, Lidars, and industrial computers.

- Own vendor and supplier relationships, managing technical negotiations and procurement for hardware integration.

- Oversee execution across the entire system stack: hardware design, edge AI, cloud infrastructure, and user-facing web dashboards.

Project Delivery & Field Execution

- Serve as the main technical bridge for end-customers, driving clear communication, documentation, project scoping, and deployment planning.

- Lead field testing, roadside commissioning, and real-time operational feedback loops to continually elevate system performance in complex real-world environments.

- Develop training materials and onboard internal personnel and external partners on system installation and commissioning.

Team Leadership & Operations:

- Run daily stand-ups and monthly product reviews to align cross-functional engineering teams around execution targets.

- Serve as the internal and external go-to subject matter expert for all things iVOD, mentoring team members as the product line expands.

- Support executive leadership in drafting technical grant applications, progress reports, and RFP/RFI responses.

## Requirements

**Must Have**

- Master or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering with a focus on mechatronics

- Solid Experience in Computer-Aided Design (preferably SolidWorks)

- Experience with physical sensor selection (LiDAR, optical, illumination) and embedded system integration

- Solid industry experience in one of these domains: intelligent transportation systems (ITS), robotics, automotive or embedded systems

- Experience with Python or similar programming languages

- Systems Engineering knowledge and technical documentation, and experience working with suppliers and integrators

- Field engineering experience (including installation of components) or experience running mechatronic demos in front of customers/clients (beyond internal lab tests)

- Leadership and project management capabilities

- Strategic Planning and Operational Execution Skills

- Collaborative and Strong Communication Skills

- Open to travelling for work (minimum 4 weeks per year)

**Bonus Skills**

- Hands-on with mechanical and electrical tools, and experience with manufacturing and fabrication processes

- Understanding of networking (layers, IP, communication protocols, remote access), and cybersecurity (VPN, authentication and encryption)

- Previous exposure to real-time middleware frameworks, multi-threading and multi-processing

- Professional working proficiency in French (Written and Spoken)

- Exposure to machine learning frameworks (pytorch, tensorflow, Keras, etc), data and cloud tools (AWS, dvc, etc)

- Previous exposure to simulation, visualization and graphics rendering tools (e.g. Unreal Engine, CARLA or equivalents)

- User Experience Focused and ability to ensure they get the results they need in product

- Comfortable driving vehicles in Canada (Ontario G license) and internationally

## Benefits

- **A Mission that Matters**: The opportunity to work on projects that make the world safer and greener

- **Excellence**: A culture of very high technical standards where quality engineering is valued over quick hacks

- **Technical Challenge**: A wide variety of technology and tasks, including hardware selection, distributed and edge computing, ML, real-time processing, and computer vision

- **Growth Environment**: Join an international team where your voice is heard and your impact is visible

- **Compensation and benefits**: Competitive salary package including equity, allowing you to share in the success you help build. Benefits: RRSP Plan, Health and Dental and 4 weeks holiday.
