## Description

To support continuous vessel performance monitoring in a 24/7 operations centre, ensuring timely alerts and insights that contribute to voyage efficiency and compliance.

This role exists to provide round-the-clock surveillance of vessel movements and performance metrics, enabling proactive support to Technical and Operations teams. It ensures timely identification of routing inefficiencies, fuel optimisation opportunities, and compliance deviations. It requires the person to delivery any projects or work on Tasks cross functionally between any departments in the ISSC.

**Limits and Objectives:**  
The position operates within defined monitoring protocols and escalation procedures. It does not involve direct owner engagement or strategic account management. The objective is to maintain operational vigilance and provide actionable data to shore teams.

## Requirements

**ROLES ACCOUNTABILITIES:**

Below are the principal responsibilities of the role:

1.  **Real-Time Vessel Monitoring:**  
    Continuously track vessel progress and performance metrics using designated platforms and tools.
2.  **Alert Generation:**  
    Identify and escalate routing deviations, fuel inefficiencies, or CP non-compliance to relevant stakeholders.
3.  **Voyage Data Logging:**  
    Maintain accurate logs of voyage data, alerts issued, and actions taken for audit and review purposes.
4.  **Performance Flagging:**  
    Highlight vessels showing signs of sub-optimal speed profiles or routing for further review by shore teams.
5.  **Support to Technical & Operations Teams:**  
    Provide timely updates and performance snapshots to assist in operational decision-making.
6.  **Shift Handover Reporting:**  
    Prepare and deliver concise handover reports at the end of each shift to ensure continuity of monitoring.
7.  **Tool & System Usage:**  
    Operate performance monitoring systems and ensure data integrity across platforms.
8.  **Feedback Relay:**  
    Capture feedback from shore teams and incorporate it into monitoring practices and alert thresholds.
9.  **Incident Documentation:**  
    Record and report any performance-related incidents or anomalies observed during m
10.  **Project Delivery and ISSC Support :** During the working hours or shifts to deliver and work on projects and tasks as required by the ISSC/GM.

**KEY SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:**

**Technical Skills**

-   Proficient in working with MS365 and business process tools.
-   Preferably Proficient in marine navigation and route planning across various vessel types.
-   Hands-on experience with digital tools and data analytics platforms.
-   Understanding of vessels and shipping industry

**Professional Skills**

-   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in multicultural team environments.
-   Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong motivation and initiative.
-   Effective time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, shift-based setting.

**PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:**

-   Preferable : BSC nautical Science (Preferred) or Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor Management Studies or similar
-   At least 1 years of experience in a vessel operations or similar roles ashore, preferably in a 24/7 operational setup on rotational shifts.
-   Freshers can be considered with BSC Nautical science Degree/Diploma
-   Sailing Experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
-   Proven track record of working with digital tools and contributing to data-driven decision-making.
