## Description

**About Stragen**

Stragen (STRAtegic GENerics) is a Swiss-founded international pharmaceutical group specialising in hard-to-make, complex generics and consumer health products for patients with serious, often life-threatening conditions. Founded in 1990 near Geneva, Stragen develops niche formulations across cardiology, anti-infectives and women's health, with more than 40 products commercialised in over 60 countries and a direct footprint in key markets, including Germany, France, the Nordics, the United States and Canada.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Chief Commercial & Business Development Officer, the Head of Commercial will own the German P&L end to end — building and evolving commercial channels, expanding the customer base, and winning hospital and insurance-group tenders to deliver Stragen's five-year strategic plan. The role leads a lean, commercially focused team across sales, marketing and supporting functions, while safeguarding compliance and quality.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Own and grow the Germany P&L, delivering revenue, margin, cash and forecast-accuracy targets
- Lead commercial execution across hospital, private-group retail, insurance-group and tender channels
- Own tender strategy and delivery (Rabattverträge/GKV): pipeline, bid/no-bid, pricing, fulfilment and governance
- Engage payers, purchasing bodies, wholesalers and pharmacy networks; optimise trade terms
- Develop digital marketing and direct-to-patient strategies
- Build and manage Group-developed partnerships and co-promotion activity
- Support corporate-driven BD/M&A projects with country business cases and post-deal integration
- Ensure full compliance with AMG, HWG, FSA Code, GDP/GxP, Pharmacovigilance and GDPR, maintaining inspection readiness
- Recruit, coach and develop the team

## Requirements

- 10–15+ years in pharma/CHC, with proven sales or business-unit leadership in Germany

- § 75 AMG Sachkenntnis (Pharmaberater / Geprüfte:r Pharmareferent:in), or an equivalent qualifying scientific degree, permitting direct professional engagement with pharmacies and prescribers
- Strong track record in sales growth and tender wins, with deep knowledge of the GKV/tender and payer ecosystem
- Partnership management and co-promotion experience; familiarity with Gx and specialty dossier suppliers
- Commercial finance acumen — pricing, contribution margin and working capital
- Fluent German and English, with excellent negotiation and stakeholder-management skills

## Benefits

- Competitive base salary plus bonus, with German-market benefits
- Remote/hybrid working
- Travel approximately 30–40% within Germany, with occasional EU/global travel
