This allows us to deliver results for our clients, as well as a safe and fun work environment. - Teamwork - Passion - Respect - Talent - Accountability - Resourcefulness - Radical Transparency - Visionary ### Role & Responsibilities The Senior Developer Contractor role requires a deep understanding of Shopify's platform, customization capabilities, and best practices in ecommerce website development. - **Custom Web Development:** - Develop, and customize Shopify-based ecommerce websites according to project requirements and brand guidelines. - Implement custom themes, templates, and layouts to enhance user experience and align with branding strategies. - Integrate third-party applications, plugins, and APIs to extend website functionality and meet business objectives. - Collaborate with designers, architects and stakeholders to translate design mockups and wireframes into fully functional Shopify websites. - **Shopify Configuration and Setup:** - Configure Shopify settings, including shipping, payment gateways, taxes, and checkout process, to ensure compliance with business requirements and industry standards. - Set up product catalogs, collections, variants, and inventory management systems to optimize product visibility and sales conversion. - Implement SEO best practices, meta tags, and structured data markup to improve website visibility and search engine rankings. - **HTML Email Development:** - Develop HTML email templates and campaigns optimized for various email clients and devices, adhering to best practices and industry standards. - Ensure compatibility with popular email marketing platforms (e.g.,, Klaviyo) and implement responsive design techniques to enhance readability and engagement across different screen sizes. - Test and troubleshoot email templates for rendering issues, spam filters, and deliverability to maximize open rates and click-through rates. - **Performance Optimization:** - Conduct website performance audits and optimization tasks to enhance loading speed, responsiveness, and overall user experience. - Monitor website performance metrics, such as page load times, bounce rates, and conversion rates, and implement strategies to improve performance. - Optimize website code, images, and scripts to minimize loading times and improve site accessibility across devices and browsers. - **Quality Assurance and Testing:** - Conduct thorough testing of website features, functionalities, and integrations to identify and resolve any issues or bugs. - Perform cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing to ensure website usability and consistency across different platforms and screen sizes. - Collaborate with QA testers and stakeholders to implement feedback and ensure website quality meets industry standards. - **Collaboration and Version Control:** - Collaborate effectively with other developers, designers, and stakeholders on complex projects, sharing insights and knowledge to deliver high-quality solutions. - Utilize version control systems, such as Git and GitHub, to track changes, manage code repositories, and coordinate team collaboration, ensuring seamless integration and versioning control across multiple development environments. - **Compliance:** - Ensure website compliance with relevant regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and PCI DSS, by implementing necessary features and protocols. - **Task Management:** They work with managers to coordinate the execution of tasks in alignment with overarching organizational goals and strategies. That includes:  - Task Prioritization: They need to prioritize tasks based on project deadlines, dependencies, and importance.  - Time Management: They are responsible for managing their time effectively to meet project milestones and deadlines.  - Risk Management: Identifying potential risks associated with task execution and developing strategies to mitigate them.  - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitating collaboration between different teams and departments involved in task execution to ensure alignment with broader organizational strategies. - Communication: They must maintain clear and open communication with all team members. - Quality Assurance: They are responsible for ensuring the quality of their work by conducting thorough reviews and evaluations ## Requirements We have expectations and so should you.
