## Description

Our client, a boutique law firm, is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate to join its team.

They are looking for an associate with 2–6 years of post-JD experience in civil litigation who is comfortable in a fast-paced, trial-oriented environment and eager to take ownership of complex matters.

**What you'll do:**

-   Manage a diverse caseload, including commercial litigation, white-collar matters, and bankruptcy disputes
-   Own cases from pleadings through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
-   Collaborate closely with partners and clients on litigation strategy
-   Draft motions, briefs, and key legal documents
-   Lead discovery efforts, including taking and defending depositions
-   Participate in court proceedings, with opportunities to argue motions and examine witnesses

## Requirements

**What they're looking for:**

-   2–6 years of civil litigation experience at a law firm, government, or reputable boutique
-   Strong foundation in discovery and motion practice
-   JD class years 2019–2023
-   California bar admission or willingness to sit for the California bar
-   Trial or courtroom experience is a strong plus
-   Experience in white-collar defense or bankruptcy litigation is a plus
