## Description

Our client is a highly respected national logistics provider operating major freight corridors across Australia. With a modern fleet and an advanced Transport Management System (TMS), they are known for efficiency, reliability, and strong compliance standards.

They are now looking for a **Linehaul Allocator** to support real-time allocation, scheduling, and coordination of linehaul transport operations, requiring strong regulatory knowledge, fast decision-making, and direct communication with drivers and key clients.

**Job/Role Responsibilities:**

-   Perform live allocation and scheduling of linehaul runs, including night shifts and last-minute operational changes.
-   Communicate directly with drivers regarding run allocation, route changes, rest breaks, and fatigue management.
-   Ensure full compliance with NHVR regulations, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), driver hours, and work diary requirements.
-   Liaise with major clients regarding pickups, deliveries, service updates, and operational changes.
-   Monitor live operations and respond to incidents such as breakdowns, delays, accidents, or route disruptions.
-   Coordinate fleet availability, including mechanical issues and workshop scheduling.
-   Make time-critical decisions to minimise service disruption while maintaining safety and compliance.
-   Maintain accurate operational records and allocation data within scheduling and TMS platforms.

## Requirements

-   Proven experience in linehaul allocation, transport scheduling, or fleet operations.
-   Demonstrated knowledge of Australian road transport regulations, including NHVR and fatigue management.
-   Experience working directly with Australian linehaul drivers.
-   Strong operational decision-making skills under pressure.
-   Excellent verbal communication skills for real-time coordination.
-   High attention to detail and strong accountability.
-   Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
-   Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
-   Experience with scheduling, allocation tools, and ERP/TMS platforms.
-   Flexible availability to support Australian business hours, including potential night shifts.
