**We're Hiring | Consultant Critical Care & Pulmonologist**

📍 Location: Dubai

We are looking for an experienced **Consultant Critical Care & Pulmonologist** to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in managing critically ill patients, complex respiratory disorders, and intensive care procedures, with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and multidisciplinary care.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, and management of patients with **critical illnesses and pulmonary disorders**.
-   Manage critically ill patients in the **Intensive Care Unit (ICU)**, including those requiring advanced life-support interventions.
-   Diagnose and treat respiratory conditions, including **asthma, COPD, pneumonia, interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, and pulmonary infections**.
-   Manage patients with **acute respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, septic shock, and multi-organ dysfunction**.
-   Provide advanced airway management, invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, and respiratory support.
-   Perform and supervise critical care procedures, including **endotracheal intubation, central venous catheterization, arterial line placement, and other invasive interventions**.
-   Conduct and interpret pulmonary diagnostic investigations, including **pulmonary function tests (PFT), spirometry, bronchoscopy, and relevant thoracic imaging**.
-   Perform diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy where appropriately trained and authorized.
-   Evaluate and manage sleep-related breathing disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea.
-   Diagnose and manage pleural diseases, pulmonary hypertension, and other complex respiratory conditions.
-   Provide comprehensive care for patients requiring prolonged ventilation, ventilator weaning, and post-ICU respiratory rehabilitation.
-   Manage hemodynamic instability, shock, and patients requiring vasopressor support and advanced monitoring.
-   Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment, laboratory investigations, imaging, and diagnostic findings.
-   Lead emergency resuscitation, rapid response interventions, and critical care consultations.
-   Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, thoracic surgeons, infectious disease specialists, nephrologists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
-   Supervise and mentor ICU physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, and junior medical professionals.
-   Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and long-term respiratory care.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with **clinical governance, infection control, and patient-safety standards**.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, research, and CME activities.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Pulmonology / Respiratory Medicine and Critical Care Medicine**, or an equivalent recognized training pathway covering both specialties.
-   Board certification or equivalent recognized consultant qualification.
-   Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in **Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine** is highly desirable.
-   Minimum **5–10 years of relevant post-specialization experience**, with substantial experience in both Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine.
-   Strong clinical experience in managing complex respiratory diseases and critically ill ICU patients.
-   Demonstrated competence in **mechanical ventilation, advanced airway management, bronchoscopy, and invasive ICU procedures**.
-   Experience in managing high-acuity ICU patients and complex pulmonary conditions.
-   Eligible for **DHA Consultant classification/license** in Dubai, with the appropriate specialty privileges for both Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine, subject to regulatory assessment.
-   Excellent clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and patient-management skills.
