## Description

**POSITION SUMMARY:**

Focus Interpreting is seeking a dedicated Hebrew Interpreter to join our interpretation team. The interpreter will provide accurate and professional interpretation services between Hebrew and English in-person or through Video Remote Interpreting (VRI).

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

-   Provide professional Hebrew-English interpretation services onsite and remotely via VRI.
-   Facilitate clear and effective communication in a variety of settings
-   Accurately interpret spoken communication from Hebrew into English and from English into Hebrew in real time.
-   Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and interpretation standards.
-   Demonstrate professionalism, impartiality, cultural sensitivity, accuracy, and attention to detail during all interpretation sessions.
-   Stay informed about relevant terminology and developments in the Hebrew language to ensure high-quality interpretation.

**REQUIREMENTS:**

-   Fluency in Hebrew and English.
-   Must be based in the United States, near Chatsworth preferred
-   Certification, training, or qualifications in interpretation preferred but not required
-   Prior experience with VRI interpretation preferred
-   Strong communication and listening skills
-   Ability to interpret accurately and efficiently in real time
-   Understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to provide culturally sensitive interpretation
-   Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
-   Reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate equipment for VRI services.
