We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician with American Board Certification** to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai, UAE.

The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in emergency medicine, advanced resuscitation, trauma management, and the assessment and stabilization of critically ill patients. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment, leadership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients presenting to the **Emergency Department (ED)**.
-   Evaluate and manage **acute medical, surgical, traumatic, and life-threatening emergencies**.
-   Lead rapid assessment, resuscitation, and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients.
-   Manage complex emergencies, including **acute coronary syndromes, stroke, respiratory failure, sepsis, shock, and major trauma**.
-   Perform advanced emergency procedures, including **endotracheal intubation, advanced airway management, vascular access, procedural sedation, and emergency interventions**, within authorized clinical privileges.
-   Lead **cardiopulmonary resuscitation, advanced cardiac life support, and multidisciplinary trauma resuscitation**.
-   Interpret diagnostic investigations, including **ECG, X-rays, CT scans, laboratory results, and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS)**.
-   Develop and implement evidence-based emergency treatment plans for adult and pediatric patients within the authorized scope of practice.
-   Manage patients presenting with acute neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and metabolic emergencies.
-   Coordinate emergency consultations, specialist referrals, hospital admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
-   Oversee clinical decision-making and patient flow to support efficient and safe emergency department operations.
-   Supervise and mentor emergency medicine specialists, junior physicians, residents, and other clinical team members.
-   Collaborate with intensivists, cardiologists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, neurologists, and other multidisciplinary specialists.
-   Provide clinical leadership during mass-casualty incidents, disaster response, and major emergency situations when required.
-   Ensure timely communication with patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, emergency interventions, and clinical outcomes.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with **DHA regulations, emergency department protocols, infection control, and patient-safety standards**.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, morbidity and mortality reviews, research, teaching, and CME activities.
-   Contribute to the development and implementation of emergency medicine protocols, clinical pathways, and departmental quality standards.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
-   Completion of an accredited **Emergency Medicine Residency Training Program**.
-   **American Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) is mandatory.**
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Emergency Medicine**.
-   Minimum **5–10 years of relevant post-specialization clinical experience** in Emergency Medicine is preferred.
-   Strong expertise in managing **high-acuity emergency cases, major trauma, resuscitation, and critical care stabilization**.
-   Demonstrated competence in **advanced airway management, emergency procedures, and evidence-based emergency treatment**.
-   Valid **BLS and ACLS certifications**; ATLS and PALS certifications are highly desirable.
-   Experience working in high-volume emergency departments or major tertiary-care hospitals.
-   Eligible for **DHA Consultant Emergency Medicine classification/license** in Dubai, subject to applicable UAE PQR qualification and experience requirements.
-   Excellent clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
