**Role**: Contract opportunity on a rotational basis.

Our London-based projects team seeks a highly skilled individual with a robust background in providing specialist construction services focusing on the piping, civil and structural scope primarily in brown-field related work. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of construction activities for specific projects which are underway in Gabon.

Reporting to the **Projects Construction Superintendent**, you will be responsible for overseeing contractor activities both in **Port-Gentil** and at operational project sites, ensuring all construction work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.  

### Key Responsibilities

As Piping, Civil & Structural Supervisor, you will:

-   Supervise contractor personnel and oversee daily construction activities on-site.
-   Promote and maintain safe working practices, ensuring full compliance with company and contractor HSSE requirements.
-   Participate in and contribute to regular safety meetings and site inspections.
-   Monitor progress against approved project schedules and prepare detailed progress reports.
-   Coordinate closely with Operations teams regarding work permits, site access requirements, and adherence to operational procedures.
-   Ensure all construction activities comply with company engineering standards, specifications, and project requirements.
-   Supervise and verify:

-   Civil foundation construction and installation works.
-   Structural steel fabrication and erection.
-   Piping fabrication, installation, and welding activities.
-   Protective coating and painting works for structural and piping systems.

-   Review and approve completed work scopes, ensuring all deliverables meet contractual and technical requirements.
-   Ensure inspection and testing activities are conducted in accordance with company quality requirements, including oversight of NDT inspection activities.
-   Review inspection documentation and verify reports prior to submission for approval.
-   Identify, document, and manage non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are agreed with the Project Engineer.
-   Ensure technical queries raised by contractors are properly documented and resolved through the project management process.
-   Monitor and record all approved scope changes and drawing revisions for incorporation into final as-built documentation.
-   Maintain comprehensive project records, including reports, drawings, correspondence, and technical documentation to support project close-out activities.

## Requirements

-   HNC qualification (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
-   A minimum of 10 years' experience within the oil and gas industry, with significant exposure to mechanical construction, civil works, structural works, HSSE, and QA/QC processes.
-   Proven experience supervising construction activities on brownfield oil and gas projects.
-   Strong knowledge of piping, civil, and structural construction methodologies, standards, and inspection requirements.
-   Demonstrated experience working in multicultural and international project environments.
-   Fluency in both English and French, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-   A strong commitment to HSSE excellence and the ability to uphold the highest safety standards at all times.
-   Excellent coordination, contractor management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
