## Description

Gems International School - Soma Bay is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable **English Social Studies Teacher** for the academic year 2026-2027 at our esteemed **GEMS International School Cairo**. This role focuses on delivering a dynamic Social Studies curriculum in English, aiming to develop students' understanding of history, geography, civics, and cultural awareness through engaging lessons.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Plan and deliver comprehensive Social Studies lessons in English, tailored to the appropriate grade levels.
-   Use varied instructional strategies to engage students and promote critical thinking and active learning.
-   Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support academic achievement and personal growth.
-   Incorporate current events and global perspectives to enrich the curriculum and foster awareness.
-   Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum content and share best practices.
-   Support extracurricular activities related to Social Studies, such as history clubs or cultural events.
-   Maintain clear and effective communication with parents and school administration.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, Education, History, Geography, or a related field.
-   Proven experience teaching Social Studies in English at the relevant educational level.
-   Strong knowledge of Social Studies curriculum standards and pedagogical techniques.
-   Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
-   Ability to inspire and motivate students to engage with social, historical, and cultural topics.
-   Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration.
-   Teaching certification or relevant qualifications preferred.
