We engage experienced practitioners for both full-time employment and project-based contract roles, depending on the award and staffing model. Engagements are remote-first with travel as required for partner and field sites. We build ready teams for live grant and sponsored-research pursuits — not speculative staffing banks.

This opportunity is contingent upon grant or sponsored-project award and final staffing approval. Permission will be requested before including a candidate's name or resume in a proposal or funding package.

WIL is seeking a Tribal Justice Training & Technical Assistance Specialist to strengthen applied research and TTA capacity for tribal justice systems — including courts, law enforcement, victim services, reentry, and related tribal public-safety programs — in support of WIL grant packages.

What you'll do:
Assess tribal justice and public-safety training and technical-assistance needs with tribal leadership and program staff
Design and deliver TTA, curricula, toolkits, peer learning, and implementation coaching tailored to tribal justice contexts
Support program design, policy development, data practices, and continuous improvement for tribal courts, law enforcement, victim services, or reentry partners
Coordinate culturally appropriate stakeholder engagement and partner networks across tribal and intergovernmental settings
Contribute specialist qualifications and past-performance narrative to WIL grant and sponsored-research packages when permissioned

## Requirements

Demonstrated experience providing training or technical assistance to tribal justice, tribal courts, tribal law enforcement, or tribal victim-services programs
Strong facilitation, curriculum or toolkit development, and written-deliverable skills for research and practitioner audiences
Ability to work respectfully with tribal nations, governments, and community partners
Open to full-time employment or project-based contract engagement; remote-first with travel as partner and field work requires

Nice to have:
Experience with federal justice TTA programs or national tribal justice capacity-building models
Familiarity with tribal sovereignty, Indian Country justice systems, and intergovernmental coordination
