## Description

**We are seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to join our team, serving as a strategic business enabler across our dynamic, multi-jurisdictional operations.**

**This role demands a strong command of corporate, commercial, and contract law and involves advising directly on complex regulatory, commercial, and employment matters.**

**Location**: St Julian's, Malta  

**Responsibilities:**

-   Draft, review and  negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts including game provider and sportsbook agreements, payment services agreements, as well as agreements related to marketing, security and information technology, privacy and data protection amongst others. 
-   Provide advice on legal matters relating to the operations of the gaming industry including content, advertising, electronic marketing and data processing. 
-   Advise and actively assist on corporate law related matters within a multi-jurisdictional environment. 
-   Conduct in-depth research into multi-national regulatory regimes and monitor the legal and regulatory developments affecting the business with a view to train and/or advise stakeholders on the implementation of any required changes. 
-   Assist the legal team in undertaking due diligence procedures and developing risk management mechanisms to safeguard business operations.
-   Provide effective, pragmatic legal advice and support in the run up to business projects to ensure all commercial needs meet legal obligations (a Make It Happen approach).
-   Review and/or draft, update, and maintain  a wide range of policies and procedures in collaboration with key stakeholders.
-   Manage the Intellectual Property Rights portfolio including handling the registration and maintenance of trademarks and domains. 
-   Contribute to and drive the adoption and ethical use of generative AI tools within the Legal team, providing training and creating internal best practices for research, drafting, and document analysis.

**About you:**

-   Law degree (LLB, Master’s in Law, or equivalent) from a recognised EU university.
-   Minimum of 2 years of relevant, hands-on legal experience advising within the fast-paced iGaming industry
-   Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and contract law. Experience in IP Strategy implementation and IP law is an asset. 
-   You are detail-oriented, well-organized, and efficient, taking full ownership of complex assignments. You possess a strong work ethic and the ability to seamlessly multitask, prioritize, and follow through on numerous assignments simultaneously.
-   You are a team player who can run with us but also thrive and deliver results independently. You demonstrate a positive outlook, a can-do attitude, and bring creative, out-of-the-box thinking to legal problem-solving.
