**Job Summary:**

Reporting to the Lead Engine Technician, the Engine Technician will be responsible for and remanufacturing a variety of engine components, including but not limited to engine blocks, cylinder heads, crankshafts, and other internal engine parts. This position requires a strong understanding of engine systems, advanced technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diesel engines and be committed to producing high-quality, reliable engine components.

This role is based at our Cambridge, Ohio location and is a fully onsite position. This is an hourly position paid at a rate of $25.00.

**Responsibilities:**

-   Remanufacture diesel engines, ensuring all components meet quality standards and performance specifications.
-   Measure and inspect engine parts before assembly. Ensure proper cleaning prior to assembly.
-   Assemble long and short blocks as required.
-   Perform pressure testing, crack detection, and other tests to ensure engine parts are free from defects and suitable for remanufacturing.
-   Use precision tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, bore gauges) to measure parts and ensure they meet exact specifications.
-   Follow technical manuals, blueprints, and manufacturer guidelines to complete repairs and reconditioning processes.
-   Maintain detailed records of work performed, including repairs, parts used, and test results for each engine.
-   Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize work and meet production deadlines.
-   Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
-   Continuously improve technical skills and knowledge of engine systems, repair techniques, and industry trends.
-   Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

## Requirements

**Education and Experience:**

-   High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in automotive or diesel mechanics, or a related field preferred.
-   Detail oriented
-   Proven experience as an Engine Technician, with a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and remanufacturing engine components (2+ years preferred).
-   Familiarity with advanced engine diagnostic and testing equipment.
-   In-depth knowledge of automotive and diesel engine systems, components, and repair processes.
-   Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, precision measuring instruments, and machining equipment.
-   Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and engine specifications.
-   Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
